I think Rise to the Challenge (RttC) should be nominated. It has awesome Level Pallettes and unique Level design and very hard to find secrets.
And the OW,the submaps are very good. And I like his good music.
I think all guys who played it like them.

By the way, I gaved up hacking SMW. I think I'll come back, but not yet. ~ X-King
I suppose that's the problem with colab hacks, neh.

The lategame has insane asm hacking and one of the best final segment in any hack I have ever played.

- though I have always had the impression that mods made exception when the total is more then the sum of the parts. I mean, even TSRPR has weird cut-off vines in parts, and smi2 gets pretty much in kaizo-range of difficulty about midway through.

And in that first pic's defense, the level IS called 'crazy lunatic'. It's meant to be as nonsensicle as possible visually.
I remember asking a mod, since on their wiki it says not to distribute the .ips file. I was told it was uploaded before by someone named 'vipper'.

Of course, I wonder if that makes sense since 'vipper' is not a single person but a collective, it's the name given to the whole group. And, well, yeah, it's written in red and in plain english not to distribute any of their hacks, so I don't know.
The reason the VIP Mario series are on the site is simply that it was on the site before the hacks were wiped and submissions standards were truly created. We're not going to retroactively delete the hack simply because standards have changed from the time when it was submitted. Yes it may have errors that would earn it deletion now, but it's on the site, had been before the wipe, and if anything ever happened and we had to re-upload hacks, I'd allow them on once more.

It's like raocow says, we tend to go for a quantity thing when moderating hacks. Each VIP hack is a finished hack with level totals ranging from 50-90 (I estimate). We're not going to delete a hack like that based on a few isolated instances throughout the hack. If it's a common problem as you go, then maybe it'll get nuked. And of course, if there's a game-breaking glitch, then that's a deletion for unplayablitiy.

However, another thing to keep in mind with the VIP series is that they were submitted here by the people and that was that. If we deleted it, it's likely they wouldn't fix anything just for us or resubmit because they were probably expecting it to just be accepting and that's it. So deleting it would probably make it so we'd never again be able to host it here. And knowing how good parts of the hack are, it'd be a shame to delete it because of a few bad palettes, floating munchers and/or cutoff.
yes, but i found this post in the removal log.
i wouldn't submit Vip hacks NOT because there are floating munchers (level did by n00bs, no offense, because there are other levels that are the best), but fot the permisson: i thinl that there aren't any permisson to submit them
I nominate the "Neko Nightmare Demo" because when i played though this hack it has very good bosses , good graphics and it even had nice custom music too. I was also offered to beta test this hack and this hack deserves it. the second thing i liked about this hack was the level design. the level desgin was very intersting and well thought out which i like that. the last thing about this hack is that its a RPG hack. Overall this hack gots my vote.

All right, Neko Nightmare Demo is featured.
Hi everybody, I nominate "Kid adventure" (hack made by BOBO/Lunartoad).
Perhaps his hack is short but me find the magnificent GFX, the interesting story, the last boss (biza) not evident but not impossible to defeat, the magnificent use of the musics for every levels.
To see the note (8.1/10 for 21 votes), I think that this hack is of very good quality.

My SMW Romhacks:

Work in progress:

Super Mario Land 2.5: 100% (testing in progress)
Download Demo

I vote for Mario's Exodus to Death, due fantastic GFX and nice level design.
Now I leave my IPS patches of my hacks for everyone play and edit as you want to.

This hack has the same concept like The Death and Return of Superman IMO.

I think Brain Dead should be a featured hack. The level design are great and doesn't have common problems.
Fierce Deity is cool.
Workin' in OW request...
Currently attendind Scape Santa, but I don't know what to do...
I nominate Just Another Mario Hack for featured hack.

Reasons:
I mean the idea itself is already pretty original: Mario in candy land. But the look of this game is even better. All graphics looks pretty good and fit into the game perfectly, the levels are well designed and I even think that all of the ExGFX in this game are custom made (but this is not confirmed). And most important of all is that this game is simply fun. Also there is no overusage of custom stuff live music (the music is original SMW music, wich I really like) or whatever. It's the classic SMW gameplay in a world with a completely new feeling. That's how a hack is supposed to be. And because of that I nominate it for featured hack.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
I vote for Super Mario : The Cookie Crisis.

Reasons:
Great Level Design, like the best I've seen for now. Overworld looks great, I didn't see any layer 2 crap. Boss battles were good. Graphics are pretty much the same =/, but why do you need good graphics when you get good GAMEPLAY!

I would hate love to see the final version.

Why is Ersanio's 'The Muncher Run' featured? nobody voted for it here, and no offense it was boring as hell. I got bored after like 2 seconds.

I can garuntee if some n00b had submitted it, it probably wouldn't have been accepted, let alone featured!

I have nothing against Ersanio or anything, it just seems like there's a slight bias going on here.
YOU ARE TOO BLIND TO SEE THE GENIUS BEHIND THE MASTERPIECE THAT ERSANIO HAS CREATED.

Seriously though, the muncher boss was awesome.

I didn't get to that bit, perhaps I jumped the gun a bit.

But still, nobody voted for it here... isn't that a tiny bit unfair?
