Ok guys, THIS is officially
THE COOLEST THING I'VE EVER DONE.
Thats right, even cooler than the Hotel mario intro.
Well, we all know the first Level of Super Probotector (Or as you America folks call it, Contra III), (And incase you don't, heres a screenshot.
The BG was released in the ExGFX section a while ago by MetaKinght, but thus far nobody's attempted to rip the FG.
UNTIL NOW!!!
Thats right, I've ripped, ported and assembled the entire Contra III FG in Super mario World. Take a look.
Dare to compare!
This is BY FAR the best thing i've ever done.

Some people my complain that Mario blatantly doesn't fit with this FG, but to be honest I think that adds a certain quirkiness. (Sorta like Mushroom Kingdom Fusion).
So far my only concern is without coding sprites from Contra, this level may well be boring: We'll see. (This is likely to be a later level, so you wont be able to play it until a later demo).

Heres the bad news though.
It was an Absolute Beast to assemble, and it's still no 100% done yet, so I wont be releasing it. I'm sorry! (Perhaps if you're lucky I'll release it in the future if I change my mind).
Seriously, look what I had to work with.
Shit.
And thats not even half of it! (Thats just under 1/2 of the whole set).
Heres what I've done so far:
*Taken from the 16x16 tile editor*.
Thats right, even the ruined Cafe is included! AND THE BINZ!

On a serious note, these GFX will be in Star Quest, but not a level remake from Contra 3. (Nonono, I've got big plans for these graphics).
The level is so far called 'Ground Zero'.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, i've also directly ported the music from Contra.
Heres a link to the background (Not made by me).

Comments?
*Edit* On a slight side note, this now means I've done all 3 kinds of ExGFX insertion: Drawing it myself, Ripping from a sprite sheet and finally ripping it from a game.
I hereby declare myself Lord of ExGFX.
