Does it just have to be ghost houses?

Technically, no, but aren't ghost houses spookier than other stages?

At the end of Flip-Flop Maze, you could skip the part where you needed to get the Shell, and instead, use the P-Switch to hit the Turn Blocks. You may want to fix this, Netto.
Technically yes, since this is a haunted ghost house contest....
When I read this, I just had to check out my old hack (which was turned into something else entirely). Wasn't all that great, but I do how I feel basically... hm, should do something about Jason Vorhees though...

Yup. Here it is, Mario wakes up... EXPANDED!
Can you upload e new version if you notice any faults? (just wondering)
Anyways, enjoy. And try to find the secret exit too. I may also submit it due to the older version is submited.
EDIT: It's striked because there's a neweer version in newer posts. Just scroll down mkay?

Eyy man?
The side exit in the house brings you to a level with a bad palette sleeping Mario... o.o

Oh, and pretty creepy. Eggh.
How did you get there? You wasn't supposed to get to that place from the level. Or did you lunar magic?
Really nice work, MATTAN! It seems I had the same "Teleport Blocks before goal post" idea as you... I hope you don't think I'm stealing your idea or such.

By the way, apparently the IPS of "Labyrinth of Despair" is broken... I tried it on my clean ROM twice, and it didn't work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Of course not wye ;) You're not the kind of person who steals. I liked your level too. Thanks for the nice comments. I think I will make a video of it for the lazy people soon.

I'm...not sure what you mean. You mean throw the P-Switch at the Turn Blocks? I just tried that a few dozen times, and every time I managed to actually hit the Turn Blocks, the P-Switch bounced off and fell through the floor. That's not only unintuitive, it requires WAY more effort than the intended way. In other words, I don't feel that it's a problem. If that's NOT what you meant, then please clarify further.

I redefined my ghost houses into actual houses, i'm drawing fridges beds and stuff. I also made the height according to the floors in the intros for all houses. I changed the pallettes to be darker too. Lastly, I got the grass there, so it feels like your actually in a house sitting on something.

What do you think? If it's good enough, i'll make a little IPS containing an overworld with those two finished houses.

Yup, just tried it, and at first, the IPS patch doesn't seem to do anything. Then you reach Vanilla Ghost House, and it crashes the ROM...

Definitely not a clean patch.

@Bob: That sounds pretty nifty, actually.

Alright, I'll explain the steps.

1: Grab P-Switch. Run next to the Turn Block.
2: Throw P-Switch up. Turn Block should be turning, so grab the Switch and repeat the process.

You're done.... sort of.
Well, it's not an easy task to create a scary/horror ghost house. But I did create a well designed one that has traps that'll keep your heart pounding. Here's the only preview.

And here's the IPS patch...
Tricks.ips

The level name is Tricks.
It is created by me, Dagx (or whatever my name is right now).

Please send all feedback and comments to my PM box, I don't wanna give much away in this thread.

EDIT: Not a word about "bicks". I stand by it.
I made a standalone game once, look for Seabug Stampede on Google Play.
Possessed MATTAN, I found a few bugs in your submission.

1: Look here. I can walk through the walls!
Photobucket
Walk any further and you die.

2: What the hell? Is Mario on crack?
Photobucket
Here's a better view.
Photobucket
You can get here by going left from where you fall into the Masks' trap after waking up in your bed.

3: I have the key! Let's go down the pipe!
Photobucket
Wee!
Photobucket
D: Someone took my key!
Photobucket
Oh yeah, you can get stuck next to the door that gets you into the bloody part where the hands are. You'll be stuck in between two pillars waiting for a mask to get you so you can die.

EDIT: It seems I've found a secret exit of my own. Did you plan to have this in, MATTAN? Anyway, in the end where the goal post is, be sure you HAVE YOSHI. After, get the secret 1-up. Now, this is where it gets tricky. Position yourself at the EDGE of the block. Make it look like you're kind of floating. Now, Run to the wall but don't run INTO it. When you're close, jump, then dismount Yoshi. You should be on top of the edge. Now, fall to the side, and you should be out of the level.

Oh, also, why'd you have a shortcut to get past the Time Machine, MATTAN? Was it for testing purposes? I'm talking about the pipe that replaced the 1-up's location in your first version.

Ahhh, I see...that's sneaky. Are you perhaps a highly experienced/skilled playtester, adept at finding even the smallest of game-breaking flaws?
<.<
That was meant as a compliment of sorts.
>.>
Anyway, I've updated my maze AGAIN to remove that flaw.

New (and hopefully final) IPS patch
- Kappatechy
Ok guys. Here's the fixed one: Woo
Please use this one.
Go find the secret exit, NAO!
