Sonic and the Black Night

Many people know about this game (plus 2 more) and how they will bring the Sonic series back up, since Shadow the Hedgehog brang it downhill. They have now just announce the song for this game. Sonic fans like me really can't wait for these 3 games to be released.

EDIT:
I'm probably wrong, but what I could interpret as the lyrics are:
___________________

Like a soul (a soul), dark brawn (dark brawn), to the hero's day
Like a man (a man), I fight (I fight), until the fight is won
In the rain (the rain), I say (I say)

Each and every, each and every, each and everyone...
Until this war is won...

And I'm made, to rule
Like a soul, trapping through the
Every ancient power,
The power in you...

And I say, I can stand,
Like a brave knightly man

My fear is gone...

Like a knight, with no fear
The power in him.
______________

If anyone notices something wrong, could you point it out?

Oh wah weapons in a Sonic game. One thing. ITS NOT SONIC ITS SHADOW. ITS HIS OWN THING SO IN NO WAY DOES IT AFFECT ANYTHING. That is all.
This Is what Usually happens. D:

But I seem to have almost lost all hope in Sonic.
Except for Sonic RPG, but then again. Bioware is Developing that one.
err... Developed.
A sword can be perfectly implemented in a sonic game. I mean, if you think about it, the attacks would probably be the same as what we've seen before, but with the animations being the sword.
I.E.
An air dash to an enemy, slashing them with your sword. That's like homing attack.
Or the attack where you slash forward into the enemy. That's like the somersault from Sonic adventure.

If they do it like that, then awesome. I pray the wii won't be too gimmicky.. Sonic seems very fast, and for those that have played the Unleashed demo, Sonic team finally came to their senses and went back to his roots and made Sonic pretty awesome. In other words: Sonic Unleashed... PLAYED LIKE A GOOD GAME!!
Hopefully this will be the same, because if any Sonic game excited me the most, it was this. Then again, I was never excited for any Sonic games before...
Also, crush 40 sounds more baddass than ever :D

A sword is a weapon of speed. Sonic is the embodiment of Speed. Anyone that bashes this game simply because Sonic has a sword deserves to not have bread and butter >=(

I haven't. If you asked me, Sonic and the Secret Rings is when I was enjoying Sonic again. And Eddie the Head, Shadow the Hedgehog had Sonic in it, and he was all for Shadow using guns. Also, something else that might have brang him down is the fact you could hold a ray gun with Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which made him look worse.

If you asked me, Sonic and the Dark Knight and Sonic and the Dark Brotherhood (names too similar) are going to be really great, and will revive Sonic from the destruction of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).

Sonic Unleashed, though, seems pretty terrible. Werehog Sonic is one of SEGA/Sonic Team's worst ideas. He loses his speed (like Sonic Labyrinth) and turns into a huge monster. Total failure.

And some people say that Dark Brotherhood is to be the final Sonic game in the chronicle and fill all the plot-holes in the other Sonic games.

I really look forward to playing the 2 games, but Unleashed is going to be the second biggest disgrace (is that how you spell it?) to Sonic ever (the first one is Sonic and Elisse on Sonic the Hedgehog 2006; you'll know if you've beaten the game).

It had nothing to do with the fact that it had guns, the game just outright sucked balls.

Because it was actually a challenge? Yeah, thats it
A challenge? XD

That game was easy. A little too easy. I defeated the final boss the first day I got it, and then I finished al 326 different paths in a week. Shadow the Hedgehog just made Sonic look bad.

Wouldn't that make EVERYONE in brawl look bad?

Not really, plus you've got it wrong.
It's called
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood

Yes a challenge. Plus the new Sonic games for the Wii are the ones that sucked ass, if I could go back in time i'd not by the secret rings one, because in no way was it going back to Sonic "roots". If they wanted to do that they should have made another side-scroller.
Sonic has been going downhill ever since it came on the next-gen consoles...

Well, actually... From Adventure 2 on, when they started introducing a bunch of fanservice characters would be better..

also, I don't really think swords and stuff fit in a game that's centered around speed and stuff like that.
I can agree with that, THAG. As much as I enjoyed Sonic Heroes (I know a lot of people didn't), I just didn't get why they needed to use all of those characters - especially when the stages really weren't THAT much different. Take out the other three teams, and you would have had an excellent game.

Yes, I'm sure others will disagree with me on this, but oh well.

About the new Sonic .. meh, same as the rest in my opinion. To give the series a bit of credit, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is a decent game, except for the butchered music.
Hm.. I think the last good "sonic" game was Sonic Adventure 2 battle.

It was challenging, the controls were decent, it wasn't ridiculously short, and the storyline was okay. Okay music... etc etc. Not to mention chao world which was like another game entirely. (Nice to have an optional sim game thrown in for variety)

As for Shadow the Hedgehog I agree you have to look at it as it's own subgame though I admit some of the stuff was cheesy and unnecessary. Example: "Where's that DAMN forth chaos emerald?" <_< I think they were just looking for an excuse to swear.

Finally, sonic and the secret rings was probably one of my least favorite sonic games ever... The controls sucked,as did the storyline and dialog etc etc. >_< It's like they wanted to make a level up system but they couldn't figure out what to use for a reward so they made the controls really bad with the promise of fixing them once you level up enough times. I don't like having to unlock better control so I'll just stick with Sonic Adventure 2 battle.

Eh, I don't have high hopes for a Sonic game, ever. I've at least demoed every single game, and it's always the same thing. It's annouced, videos are shown, we get excited, it's released, the reviews use scientific notation to describe the fail of it, we look to the next game. Rinse are repeat. The games used to be good, and they still are, but just not Mario caliber.
