So it works just like the disco ball in Bowser's castle right? I'm guessing you don't need to use the sprite setting anymore?

Bio, that looks great! This will make my hack one step closer to YI. :P
Originally known as A Yoshi (2006-2009), Aquifer (2010-2011), and Azurik (2012-2014).
It only use the "Disco ball" CGADDSUB setting, but all the code is made from scratch.

I don't see what you mean by "sprite setting" tought<_<
I mean the purple mushroom sprite sets. Is this spotlight like some kind of layer?

Is it possible to use that effect on the overworld (Bowsers submap)? I really need it for my hack :O
My blog. I could post stuff now and then

My Assembly for the SNES tutorial (it's actually finished now!)
That looks really impressive so far. At the moment I have only two question about this new engine, first, would you still need to change the layer priority for the pipes for example, because of the changed sprite layer, or have you found a way to work around it? (I guess there is a way, because I don't think Brutal Mario had this problem at all, and Carol was using BMF54123's kit after all, so I think that this problem was only for d4s kit.

Second question, because this is the thing i dislike at most on d4s' Kit: Would it be possible to add/change HDMA-effects by entering a new level-area (like for example set a effect up for level 105, go to level 1D2whatever with a different effect setting, and later return to 105 with the original effect?

But whatever. I think it's great that you are working on something like that, because I think at the time it's released it will be most likely absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see what you are going to create next.

Since the effects are activated with custom sprite, you can insert them in any level you want and they won't be carried to the next area

For layer priority, I'm using the same screen setting as the "dark BG"s level mode, so most sprite shouldn't have problem(so far, only pirhana plants seem to have some problem). that setting will also only be used with color related effect, the rest of the effect should cause no glitches at all
Fascinating. Really. When will the SuperFX patch be released? I remember that in Super Metroid, there are some levels that have effects which makes the room lighter or darker.
Wait, BMF made a HDMA kit?
Your layout has been removed.
No duh! Someone dosen't pay attention. ¬_¬

Bio, this is looking really nice! I can't wait to see what else you'll add! :D
Will you make some "premade" HDMA effects or we'll have to make ours?
*Kirby Floats upward to the top of the Board, carrying this topic with him.(My favorite GFaqs Board Quote.)*
This is looking really good Bio.Good luck working on it!^_^
Doesn't BMF's HDMA kit start with Mario and the Nintendo and says 'Not For Sale' near the bottom?(thats when you start the rom)
Where IS BMF's HDMA engine?
