What rom version was supported by LM?

There's a clean Rom check-tool in the tools-section. But somehow I doubt that this would be the answer.

I also would like to say something to the whole "de-featuring"-issue about featured hacks. I'm not too sure what to think of that, mostly because I was surprised to see DWTLC on that list.

Even though I always never really liked it that much, mostly because of, yeah, repetitive level design and glitched screenscrolling-pipes, it was nevertheless a groundbreaking entry in SMW-hacking history because it also featured a lot of stuff which no other hack featured before. The screensscrolling pipes come to mind, but for me, the best thing were the Mushroom-houses and the items you could bring to other levels (even though it could screw up some levels - for the most part I considered it a great gameplay element).

Granted, time has passed, and it may be not as impressive anymore, but still I'm not too sure if that's a reason to say it's crap to today's standarts. I believe a lot of people could still have fun with that. I mean there aren't that many "big" and completed hacks in the first place, and back in the days this hack was just nicely done, to say the least.

If there's anything to de-feature (or remove from the hack list in general) than it would be some crappy unfinished short demos from which it is clear that no one ever works on them anyway.

I agree, SDWTLC was and is a great game. The first part of the first SCORPION fortress or SCORPION's Rig Fort was based or the idea came from Bowser's Castle from SDWTLC. Then agian, what bowser castle doesn't use that technique.

As for the Glitchy Event tiles thing, I know of 2 fixes for that. Number 1, you can use the XKAS Patch... I don't think it was excepted or not. Number 2, you can do what I did for the Fourth Sector: Delete all the Main event tiles and make the ones you need from scratch. I haven't got a glitch yet.
i think that DR.mario classic shouldn't be a featured hack:
modestly, the my hack should be better:
i look some glitch and bad palettes.
then, in toad body BG is uncomplete: the top of the cloud is missing.
then, i look some midway entrace with bad graphics D=
DR mario should be de-featured.

I Think Dinomar's Hack should be featured. I like it alot!
Currently doing ExGFX Requests, please send me a PM, and i'll TRY to do what you want.
You know, most of these hacks that people are asking to be de-featured has been around a long, long time, before most of you even started SMW hacking. Most since before SMWcentral. Back then, the beauty of just making a playable hack was good in most people standards. Now, 70% of the hacks being submitted here aren't even playable, by new or old standards. I agree with FPI to get rid of these crappy unfinished short demos, but as for some of them, these hacks was featured here for a reason, and I don't find it fair that just because old hacks aren't up to the 'new' community standards, or just 2 or 3 people didn't like the hack, that means it shouldn't be featured. Show respect to old hacks, regardless of their flaws.

As for D. Engrish, I don't care about what you say about my old work, but don't cut down someone else hack just to praise your own. That's just wrong.

Totally agree with B.B. Link here. Some hacks were made before we had tools like addmusic and sprite tool. Don't remove hacks because they aged. If that was the case, then I would never play DKC again because it is an average platformer.
Working on something!

Better than the cape!

Panic in the Mushroom Kingdom 2 for example still has awful level design with no variety at all. Even the ow looks the same everyhwere and you can't tell me, thats because the hack is aged. TSRP is even older and has way more variety than Panic in the Mushroom Kingdom 2. It's not awful because it's aged, but because it's just badly made.

Bravo :P
if you want to compare TSRP1 with PITMK2, do it with comfort :D
joke :D
serious, PITMK1 should be de-featured:

this is very unfait

Hentay+SMWhack = NO

C'mon, it´s just a little blood and... Porn. I laughted at it, I don´t remember the hack so well but maby it should be de-featured.
PITMK1 was a hack I thought might have been good, but after seeing about the hentai, I stayed away from it an its sequel.

D. Engrish's hack has been feature, and Mario the Archealogist should be featured.
I think Pokey's Adventure should be featured. It has clever level design and is generally fun. It has no glitches that I know of (All though the slopes might be a problem, even though we have a patch for that....) and it is actively being worked on. Also, it has a good story line!

How about you just don't play the hacks. Seriously. And stop trying to de-feature stuff, because it's not going to work. PITMK1 was made before you even knew this site existed. I agree that the hentai and blood parts was discouraging, and that's why I didn't play it, but de-featuring stuff just because 2 or 3 people don't like it is ridiculous. I know 2 people who didn't like D. Engrish's hack. Should it get de-featured? Again, there is a reason why these hacks was featured in the first place. I understand and respect you guys posting how you feel about a hack, but the de-featuring thing is lame.

And no, this doesn't have anything to do with my Dr. Mario Classic being asked for de-featuring, as I never asked for it to be featured in the first place.

Having played the game extensively, I don't really know what you're talking about in either accounts. There ARE levels that are pretty hard in the endgame, but it's more on part with Super Mario Infinity 2 then Kaizo.

edit - HOWEVER, I think, from my understanding, that Vipper and crew don't want the VIPs to be rehosted other then on their site? There's a big red tag on the latter hack's download page about not redistributing the ISP.
Hey raocow!

Actually, Vipper uploaded them here a while ago (November or something?) and then vanished, so I'm assuming he didn't have a problem with them being here. When the hacks were wiped in May, they were reuploaded shortly after.

Ah, I did not know that!

Well then, I just wanted to make sure everything was fine!
I think that Bowser's Dangerous Castle should be featured, it is only 1 level, but it also a good challenge. Who is with me?
I haven't played the game, but I think your hack (Super Mario: The Fourth Sector) should be featured. It is very fun with its good level design, I liked the graphics, the music choices were good, and the plot is very unusual, but in a good way.

And I second (I think) for Pokey's Adventure.

EDIT:
Yay! I got 5000 posts now!
