Well thats pretty much what you do. Or do you mean assembling in Lunar magic? because thats something different.

Well, first you need to decide where you're ExGFX goes. If it's a background, the obvious choice is in BG1.

It's important to remember that no matter what you insert it as, something will be overwritten (in the level it's inserted into).

To give you a vague idea, FG1 contains the animation frames for ? blocks, as well as pipes and bill blasters.

FG2 contains mostly tileset spacific tiles, such as hedges. This is one of the best to overwrite, but it's important to remember that when you're drawing it in YY, you mustn't overwrite the row of colours in the bottom right corner. If you do, you'll find out why soon enough.

FG3 is generally the best one to overwrite, as it soley contains ground tiles. Generally people overwrite FG3 because their ExGFX contains replacement ground tiles.

Right, now that it's been inserted, it will appear in the 8x8 tile editor. (It will be in a different place depending on what you inserted it as).

Open up the 8x8 tile editor on the page where you're ExGFX is, as well as a fresh page in the 16x16 tile editor. (Or whereever you want, just not the first 2 pages).

On the 16x16, click on a blank square and click 'Edit 16x16 attributes'. It is here that you decide which 4 8x8 tiles make up the 16x16 tile, as well as which palette it uses and how it acts in the game.

When you've chosen everything to your liking, right click on an empty space and you're tile will appear. Repeat until everything from the 8x8 tile editor is assembled to your liking, and...

PRESS F9 OR IT WONT SAVE AND YOU'LL HAVE TO DO IT ALL AGAIN.

I can't stress that enough. Anyway, I hope that helped. If you need any more help, PM me or something.
