Which ones were unavailable? I tried to address those but some songs didn't have any alternative links that I could find
Check out my WIP romhack!

Casiopea (ft. T-Square) - Fightman
Vanessa da Mata - Ai, Ai, Ai...

McKinley Dixon - Never Will Know (ft. Micah James & Gold Midas) - A fucking amazing song. Immediately catchy, great beats, awesome flow, A1 production, great lyrics it’s amazing. Prim is right too about the album, it’s great. Highly recommend it.

Vanessa da Mata - Ai, Ai, Ai…- This rules. I guess most of the lyrics are literally just her saying “Ai ai ai” but I guess you get what it says on the tin. Still a song that makes me smile, almost reminds me of what I’d expect from a de blob game.

---

Maria Luiza Jobim & Daniel Jobim - Wave - It’s a nice, smooth bossa nova track. I could see myself voting for it in another weaker set but this set was really good.

Ruby My Dear - Robinet - I can acknowledge that this is a very good song, but I just don’t personally like the soundfont. After it picks up and I was like “hey it’s good” I still didn’t vibe with it like ever.

Francis M - Mga Kabayan Ko | - I understand why Val said this sounded like VGM, the first thirty seconds remind me of a Digimon World 1 song.

Casiopea (ft. T-Square) - Fightman - Wow. This Is Giving Me Mad Persona Vibes.

The Weeknd - Out of Time - It’s Okay. Definitely mid for this set

Ada Rook - 5H4D0W H34R7Z - I can understand why someone would like it, but I hate it.
Great:
Ruby My Dear - Robinet
Casiopea (ft. T-Square) - Fightman

Good:
Maria Luiza Jobim & Daniel Jobim - Wave
McKinley Dixon - Never Will Know (feat. Micah James & Gold Midas)

Decent:
Francis M - Mga Kabayan Ko
Ada Rook - 5H4D0W H34R7Z

Okay:
The Weeknd - Out of Time
Vanessa da Mata - Ai, Ai, Ai...

this is fun im tripping etc
(1) Casiopea (ft. T-Square) - Fightman (84/100)
Back to classic T-Square, which coincidentally was also featured in the previous set so it's gonna be quite fun.
It's another fantastic performance, this one being more focused on that heavy-drifting guitar,
going up to 7 minutes. A lot of the time is used for building up solos and goes on for a while,
from 5:00 and onwards it's amazing how every instrument gets combined into a whole ride.
Also what happens on the guitar at 4:00? It is coming.

(2) The Weeknd - Out of Time (60/100)
This is has an awesome backing track which makes a great use of the synthesized atmosphere,
which makes it stick out compared to most of pop songs and it is well done aside from the last part.
Not my favorite song from this artist, but it's still good music afterall.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(3) Ruby My Dear - Robinet (54/100)
This song seems to go over the place with it's instrumentation, which can be disorienting
considering how fast the drum breaks are compared the vocal leads and the sudden switches
in tone and instrumental genre.
It's a fine concept as it's own if the execution could've been better and more fitting,
seems to be a difficult vote for now as i'm tripping.
(4) Vanessa da Mata - Ai, Ai, Ai... (37/100)
Ai
(5) Francis M - Mga Kababayan Ko (31/100)
I recognize quite a few samples in this song, like the panflute, tremolo pipe and drum combination, so I'm
curious whether this is based off an older song or not.
It's fine from a lyrical standpoint, but the instrumentation here is quite lacking, making it on par
with the other music out there.
(6) Maria Luiza Jobim & Daniel Jobim - Wave (25/100)
Background music that feels more happy than it should be.
(7) McKinley Dixon - Never Will Know (feat. Micah James & Gold Midas) (13/100)
(8) Ada Rook - 5H4D0W H34R7Z (7/100)
Vanessa da Mata - Ai, Ai, Ai...: I could swear I heard this in one of my local radios or something. Nonetheless, it rocks!
The Weeknd - Out of Time: This is very much one of my favorites from Abel, so obviously it had to show up among my top 2
McKinley Dixon - Never Will Know (feat. Micah James & Gold Midas): this is fun as fuck and im tripping.
Maria Luiza Jobim & Daniel Jobim - Wave: I very much expected it to be anything but a Brazilian song. This is something I'd groove to as a peaceful listen!
Casiopea (ft. T-Square) - Fightman: Solid musical performance overall
Francis M - Mga Kababayan Ko: The beginning reminds me of modern VGM, but the rest gives me 2000s vibes. Decent, but doesn't suit my tastes.
Ruby My Dear - Robinet: Sounds more overwhelming in some parts than I'm comfortable with, but it's an alright pick. I just couldn't care less about it.
Ada Rook - 5H4D0W H34R7Z: hell no
Windowless ride, feeling alive
Are you alive or just breathing?
1. Maria Luiza Jobim & Daniel Jobim - Wave
2. Vanessa da Mata - Ai, Ai, Ai...
This set has an interesting variety of genres!
Virt - Nightfall Over the City
They Might Be Giants - Letterbox
YES
Vulfpeck - Tee Time (22/100) (this is fun as fuck)
This is an abomination to the arts! Mozart
Virt - Nightfall Over the City (60/100) (im tripping)
I don't like kaizo, but this song is one of those true classics I heard back in my college days, and usually I don't like these modern "electrical"-type songs, however this one really stands above the rest. Really makes me feel like I am playing on the Game Boy!
NO?
Bernard Parmegiani - L'espace-temps (5/100)
Repetition is obviously objectively bad. We are all in agreement here, if you say otherwise then please wait patiently as they come to silence you for your misdemeanor and provide corrective re-education.
(Somebody will unironically say this isn't music just watch)
Fleet Foxes - The Shrine / An Argument (55/100)
Songs should've never been allowed to be longer than 2 minutes, all artists are rabid dogs who only wish to get rid of their fans by creating bizarre False Art (Music I dislike).
NO
Jon Hassell - Malay (0/100)
If I cannot DANCE to it, it is not real music. Music and dance are inexplicably linked, but also of course music that plays in the discotheque is not real art even if people dance to it, that would be ridiculous.
Chad VanGaalen - Phantom Anthills (30/100)
My flute teacher always used to say: Music is a measurable science, and you can do so many things wrong. I have to listen to her even now, she has a degree
They Might Be Giants - Letterbox (13/100)
Feels strange to submit a minute-long song to the tourney honestly.
Hotdog - Manila (69/100)
Just like in back in the day, I love the year 1970, things were better back then. This song reminds me of the year 1970, when music was good, when music was real. Back when I was born, in 1959,
Nightfall over the city
Manila
Phantom Anthills
Tee Time
The Shrine / An Argument
Letterbox
L'espace temps
Malay
best to worst, but I wasn't into any of these.
Great:
Virt - Nightfall Over the City
Vulfpeck - Tee Time
Good:
Hotdog - Manila
Decent:
Chad VanGaalen - Phantom Anthills
They Might Be Giants - Letterbox
Fleet Foxes - The Shrine / An Argument
Okay:
Bernard Parmegiani - L'espace-temps
Not for me:
Jon Hassell - Malay
i appreciate what malay does but yeah. set is pretty interesting as a whole
