It's been ages.

This is Taomb - Darkness Falls (6-1)

The video quality is miserable. Have some pics of every subroom instead:

I play different games on Twitch, I did speedruns of Pokemon Red and Gold, Mario Party 4, but I also do SMW stuff.
I only stream to make progress on my hack currently. Check out my twitch!

Exits done: 50, Overworld: 99%
Play through Taomb Demo 3
Taomb is alive again. Check my Twitch as I work on in it when live.

@exit1337: Despite the quality, those pictures are really good. Keep up the good work. Also, I'll post the one screen below:

It's my steampunk tileset, re-worked to fit the Yoshi's Island style.
I did a really good job.
Also, check the link below:

Feedback welcome.
 exit1337nice dkcr reference to the silhouette level! Volcano levels always warm up the experience in mario titles.

Rykon-V73yi style gfx and steam punk is a really good niche to pick from, I'd say so myself. Great job! #smrpg{y}

I don't have any pics but I do have exclusive yt videos showing off what I've been up to lately.

Vod1

vod2

vod3

vod5

I left details in the description of each vod. But a small synopsis of all these videos combined is a new smw +l, and what I plan on putting in my current project. New features to old. I have been anticipating on making this for a long time.

@Link13: Despite very little static on your TV, the videos are really good. How did you insert OW sprites into your hack? I tried that, but it's hard to understand. I only saw the ninjis and that's it, no other chance.
Here's some progress on layer 2:

The wall is based on the DKCTF Beehive Brawl, along with dark pillars. There's shading for the pillars. Layer 3 is in front.
Feedback appreciated.
I made a cool BG

W1 submap + main OW

That's a pretty nice background and the OW and Submap look alright.
Userbar made by Green Jerry

(I plan to add a parallax effect to the background eventually)
Wow! Excellent level! Very good level design and graphics. I liked your choice of music, especially the subarea (I think we all like that SMB3 music)#smw{<3}
Keep up the good work!#smw{:TUP:}
Graphics were okay, except for the clouds. That double cloud doesn't look very good, and the bg in general could use parallax autoscroll.

But the music is... uh... not a very nice tune. The P-switch music was also bland.

Level design is not bad for 1-2.

Sorry, but I have to disagree about the Sutte Hakkun theme. Although it's from a puzzle, it does have a grassland feeling to it and it fit the level pretty well. Music mods also have appreciated it enough to feature it. I can accept you think otherwise, though. To each his own.

But yes, the SMRPG tune is kinda bland, but I can't think of any better use of it than for a P-switch. Still, not my cup of tea, either. Its usability is limited and it's not good for extremely long cutscenes or stages unless you're meant to annoy the player.

However, I do appreciate the SMB3 cloud theme.

Finally, these graphics are eye-candy and palettes complement them nicely, but I don't think two little clouds so close to one another appear so often in the sky, the couples should be 1/3 of all the clouds in the BG.

Other than that, it's an excellent 1-2!

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

Okay. Time to post some screens about my new hack. Keep in mind levels are still in progress:

Taking advantage of the Message Box Expansion patch. I still have the mapper detection thing.

This indicates messages good for player.
Good, but the first message could be better:

Welcome! In this weird land, someone stole Bowser's delicious cookies. Bowser suspected the thief to be Yoshi, and locked him up in a cell. Now it's up to Mario to rescue his poor friend.

So it's almost there. Thanks BlueToad. I'll apply those changes, as soon as I leave the hospital. That's tomorrow.
Did your text change and added a few words at the bottom which repaired the text glitch:

Amazing!

My first submap of the hack. Hopefully the events work.
Wow, great design! I hope to see more of the project soon, friend! I see that it has good potential.#smw{:TUP:}
@BlueToad & Julintendo: Thanks!
I'm showing 4 screens now with some changes:

Title screen. Mario doesn't move. Not sure what to call this hack.
I might change the text font below.

The first area. It will transition to a level seen in Mario and the Gem of Power. It will have updated GFX and different enemy placement.
Another change are those YI ? blocks. I drew those myself. There were suppose to be YI ? blocks in the AllGFX.bin file, but I couldn't find them. There's also a changed brown block.

Here's the piranha plant with the YI head and different stem.
I wished I knew how to change the stem palette.
You may notice a brown rock, trees and the stone above. My former rip never had those. I re-ripped the tileset and includes those, along with other features. It will be released at this year's C3.

Here's a YI coin. Not sure what to change it to.

Feedback appreciated.
I would suggest replacing the yoshi coin to a happy flower.
