1. Takeshi Abo - Gate of Steiner -Piano- (honestly, I might be biased here since I've watched Steins;Gate not too long ago, but personally this is pretty much my favorite rendition of the main theme, and even with how much it played in the anime and with the fact I normally don't tend to be into solo piano as much, especially in the case of arrangements, I just love how it sounds here, both with how it almost seemed to be made with the piano in mind and, in general, how beautifully translated it was from it, so it's a pretty easy choice from me lol)
2. Mike Oldfield - Nuclear (yeah, I totally dig this kind of rock music, so this is also a easy choice from me; loving the vibes here a ton as well, depressing and gloomy, love this shit a lot haha)
3. Hiromi Shibano - Moonlight Museum Ver. 1 (well, from what I heard of Klonoa music, the sound design is just about as good as I expected it to be, but outside of that it just isn't good enough for a nomination composition-wise sadly)
4. Men I Trust - Seven (Garage Session) (pretty neat, but it didn't impress me as much to nominate sadly; love the chords tho lol)
5. Go Ichinose - Lake (as much as I love Go Ichinose and D/P/Pt's music, this is honestly one of the weaker songs in the soundtrack for me, so... yeah, not much else to say about it)
6. Busdriver - Imaginary Places (pretty fast rapping, but otherwise not much else worth talking about)
7. Xiu Xiu - I Luv the Valley OH! (honestly, I actually kinda dig the vocals here due to how slightly desperate and fearful it sounds, but once again, it's kinda meh otherwise)
8. Theophany - Oath to Order (boring, and drags on for way too long. that's all)
moonlight museum - hell yes, this is the real good shit, more of this in the tourney please
lake - putting this anywhere but the top 2 is a crime
-
imaginary places - gets better in the second half. like it quite a bit overall, definitely has charm
gate of steiner - really good for a piano piece
nuclear - good, not spectacular
seven - good easy listening music, though not really standout
oath to order - goes on too long, doesnt really do anything interesting, but it's well-made at least
i luv the valley oh - incredibly annoying, ear-piercing production
