I'm a noob and I feel stupid, but when I hover over my spirtes in the menu there is no information that comes up about them. How do I fix this?

Are you hovering over the actual sprite image, or just the name? It only shows up when hovering over the image.

If not that, then not entirely sure what it could be.

in one specific level I need a line-guided grinder that Mario cannot spin jump on but get hurt if he does. Is there an easy way to achieve that?

Im not sure is this right place to ask this issue, but
have a little problem.

When i make custom midwaypoint to sublevel, where is also
secret exit, everything is working first well.
But if i take midwaypoint and leave level, after that reaload it again.. game crashes.

So what i forgot or did wrong?

okey i fix it myself and working now :).

But just thinking, if there is someway go easyer to uppipes? Now its really frustrating, because you need to hit it perfectly middle.
There are custom blocks to help you out with up pipes (I think). Check the Blocks section.

I got some error, when i try to use that verticalpipe.asm file
UberASMTool just saying: Missing load/init/main/nmi label.

Where i find all that stuff and where i need to put it?
In GPS, naturally.
When I am trying to insert GFX to my hack LM says: "There is not enough room left to save the data. Do you want LM to expand the ROM to 3 megs?".

Is there any problem doing so?

Anyone has any idea why when I use the Ultimate Boom Boom, changing the extension doesn't do anything? I tried puptting the standard ones from the Readme but when I click "ok", it resets to 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Hello! Im just a bit curious as to what this asar warning message means & if I should worry

d:/mario hacks/romhacking/patches/disablebonusstars.asm:12: warning: (W1029): A mapper has already been selected. [sa1rom]
One or more warnings were detected while assembling the patch. Do you want insert the patch anyways? (Default: yes)


Ive gotten this message for a couple patches Ive inserted, but it hasnt caused any immediate problems when I confirm.. But I know how delicate this game process is so I feel its probably messing something up

It's mostly because at some point (more specifically, Asar v1.80), Asar throws a warning when ROM mappings are switched within a single patch. The main cause is SA-1 compatibility: Most patches are hybrid patches i.e. they both support LoROM (ROM without SA-1) and SA-1 (ROM with SA-1). Some patches do this by first declaring themselves as a LoROM and then check whether they detect SA-1. If so, change the mapping to SA-1.
This doesn't appear on every patch because some check for SA-1 immedietly and then decide which mappter to chose.

Either way, it's a warning which you can dismiss since it already was fine before. It is an issue if some data is already written but such a patch is badly written and wouldn't be accepted anyway unless it flew under the radar for some reason.
