Super Mario WorldFull Hack ReleaseScreenshots

This is an SMW Hack remake of Super Mario Flash 2, a flash game based on Super Mario World, developed by Pouetpu in 2011.
We have tried to recreate it as close as possible to the original, with a few changes here and there, and some new bonus content!
Now you can experience your favorite flash game on the SNES, with better controls, and cleaner sound and visuals.
We hope you enjoy!

yo nice to see this released after all the work we did for it

playtesting this also had awaken some non natural swag on me for some reason
also bonus points for the extra stuff and fixes
i remember this game from WAY back, had some good memories with it. the site's a ghost town nowadays but i'm happy to see the game will live on through this

i'll have to try this sometime later but kudos to everyone who worked on this #tb{^V^}
The overworld took a long time to do fyi.

Was very fun to partake in this project with such wonderful people working on it!

I wonder what we are gonna do next.
This is a blast from the past. When I get the time I'll play through it. I always enjoy it when people remake fan games from the days of old; good work, Flash Remake Team. (I'm not sure if your "group" has any name or not, so I just thought of one pertinent to the work you have put out.) Are there any other old fan games you plan to remake in the future?
Ah! The anxiety of trying to fix everything last second... was... horrible.. but now, it should be bug free!

I hope you enjoy it!
neat idea!
Nice to see this still going

LAYOUT FOOTER:
I played a ton of Mario flash games in the mid-2000s (they were the first Mario I ever played, in fact). If this came out in 2011 it's probably not one I've seen before, but that font alone is strangely nostalgic.

It looks like Super Mario Flash 2 didn't stray too far from SMW in terms of visuals, but I imagine there's tons of little tweaks you put in that took some effort to get right. Nice job!

I was an avid fan of two games called Super Mario Flash, but I think they're different from this one? I remember there was an editor, but it only had SMB assets. Then again, that dates from before 2011 - I resorted to that editor before finding out about Lunar Magic (which was 2010) and moving on completely. I know if I had found something like this before finding LM I'd go crazy!

I played ~6 levels and a switch palace so far and I'm liking it a lot. It does feel like someone's attempt to create SMW from a foggy memory. I love how levels are sort of remixed and some assets are mixed about, like the ghost house spikes inside a cave. The flash coins are a really cool addition.

Despite this being a remake from a "bad" game, this is actually an extremely charming product. Great job guys!
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
I actually played s Super Mario Flash game before. Mario jumped from BG to FG. It's nice to see this with SMW GFX. Will this game have custom enemies?
I was going through old Flash games a few weeks (months?) ago, including the Super Mario Flash games, and I was motivated to beat it, if it weren't for one thing: the terrible controls and physics.

Needless to say this is a wonderful surprise, to combine the charm of a crappy old Flash game with Actually Playable Physics.

I just played through two levels of it, and there's something so interestingly uncanny about this hack's feeling. I love it.

I also adore the Flash coins.

Seconding this! I feel like it's what adds to the uncanniness.

It's like the SMW equivalent of a liminal space.

This brings back memories.
Ah, my childhood and nostalgia, from me playing this awesome flash game back in 2012 is coming back to me again!!! But seriously, to everyone who worked on this. Good freaking job to all of you!!! You all are awesome for making my childhood flash game remake into Super Mario World!! Already beated level 1 and level 2 and so far it feels like how I remember it!!!!! Like I said before, nice work to everyone who worked on this!

That's odd, it didn't crash for me.

Just submitted an updated version that fixes the game over crash
Holy crap, nostalgia blast to the max. I used to play the Super Mario Flash games non-stop as a kid - years and years ago - back when I had literally nothing else to do with my free time and no other options for games and whatnot to play.

I honestly didn't even know you were working on this - I'll have to check this out myself soon.
