Ice Man: Yeah, the new logo design looks more simplistic than the one used in Windows 8/10. Also, they pull the plug on "Windows 10X".
Originally posted by MarioFanGamerI remember reading something about Windows 10 and how it was supposed to be the last version of Windows. Guess that information was either wrong or Microsoft has changed their mind. Either way, I'll probably pass Windows 11 as my primary system and instead switch to a Linux distribution (could be OpenSUSE like my laptop or a different distribution) when Windows 10 get discontinued and try to use Wine for Windows-exclusive games.
Like I said in
this thread, it seems that Windows 10 is about to end in four years or less, so people might need to switch to the latest version when it's released. Also, the devs at Wine would have a hard time to make Windows 11 apps work on other Linux distros!
It's UPDATE time! The first Windows 11 Insider build is now available to try, but first, you might need to check your PC's system requirements! As a bonus,
they finally updated the minimum system requirements to run Windows 11. (But there's still hope for Intel 7th Gen Kaby Lake and Zen 1 users...)
QuoteAs we release to Windows Insiders and partner with our OEMs, we will test to identify devices running on Intel 7th generation and AMD Zen 1 that may meet our principles. We’re committed to sharing updates with you on the results of our testing over time, as well as sharing additional technical blogs.
Later on,
rumors are swirling that Windows 11 may be released on October 20th, according to these new images showed by Microsoft. Does this mean we can wait for next few months to get Windows 11? Only time will tell...
