Clearing midway gates/checkpoints in Super Mario World? (This Hack Needs a Name)

Is there any way to clear midway gates/checkpoints in Super Mario World? I've been playing This Hack Needs a Name (which I've been loving), and I didn't realize that the final castle has two secret exits until after I hit the midway gate near the final stage of the level. After you beat the final boss, the game just goes to a black screen and doesn't save your progress (meaning the level technically never clears), so I'm stuck going straight to the midway gate each time I try to play the level now. But without getting the other secret exit, I can't get to the final secret world, and it doesn't seem possible to get back to the second secret exit from the midway gate.

Does anybody have a solution for this? I'd really love to be able to play those final levels without having to clear the entire game all over again. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Probably your best bet is to replace your SRAM file with the one from SMWCentral, hosted here.

This will make all exits be already cleared, but it should also not have the midway to any level saved. For reference, I'm not familiar with the hack in question, but this might get you the results you're looking for.

Let me know if this will work for you, I can help you setup your SRAM file in the proper location.

(Depending on your willingness to tamper with someone else's hack/your knowledge of Lunar Magic, this also seems like the sort of thing that would be rather innocuous to place a pipe rerouting you to the start of the level at the midway point, or something to that effect)
I went ahead and tried the Lunar Magic solution as a learning experience and I was able to get it to work. Thank you so much! Your other solution also would have been sufficient (and not something that I knew existed), so I really appreciate your guidance on this. I'm very happy to be able to continue playing this hack.
Sounds great, happy to help! :)
