A - afternoon level design contest
levels can only be worked on in the afternoon. your computer will be monitored remotely 24/7 by a team of SMWC mods for any suspicious morning or nighttime lunar magic activity
B - beta level design contest
participants must finish their level, but then submit an older version of the level. the finished version must then be destroyed
C - carbon level design contest
only living enemies can be used in the level, such as dino rhinos, rex, or koopas. enemies with a nondescript or unclear living status (i.e. grinders, magikoopa magic) may not be used
D - default level design contest
you must submit level 105. with no edits. in the case of a tie, the trophy must be split between the winners
E - extreme level design contest
participants must create their level while bungee jumping
F - feudal level design contest
collab-only contest in which the landowners provide the land and objects for their tenants, who in exchange provide level testing
G - galaxy brain level design contest
participants must only create levels with the most mind-bending and crazy puzzles imaginable, such as clearing a column of coins
before pressing a p-switch
H - hashtag level design contest
level creators cannot submit their level and must instead upload it to social media with the hashtag #SMW. you must then simply hope that the judges find them
I - imagery level design contest
contest participants will upload their level by submitting a series of screenshots of the level. the judges must then piece together what is happening and "play" the level that way. this is a great way to do a contest since so many people have significant experience judging levels through pictures alone already
J - Jazz Jackrabbit - Candion level design contest
all levels must use
this port or they will be disqualified
K - kinda level design contest
participants must sorta create a level, mostly before the deadline. then most of the judges will maybe judge your level, and then trophies will somewhat be handed out someday
L - lawsuit level design contest
participants must submit a mario fangame, rather than a hack
M - median level design contest
this would be the same type of contest we normally have with the same rules. however, the person who scores exactly in the middle of the pack will receive the 1st place trophy, and so on so forth (with true last and true first both scoring last)
N - new level design contest
the novelty of this contest is that it is brand new, which is great for the staff since they'll never have to host this contest more than once
O - omnipotent level design contest
no need to submit your level; judges will experience it while you are creating it
P - premium level design contest

Q - questionable level design contest
participants must use either boss bass, phanto, or a combination of both
R - revolutionary level design contest
participants must create an entire new genre of video game design with their level
S - subscription level design contest
participants must send judges 1 screen of their level every month over the next year. at the end of the year, the judges should finally have the whole level
T - themed level design contest
participants must come up with a level that fits the theme (this theme is not to be explained)
U - undercover level design contest
the 4 judges will all submit levels as well to completely throw off anyone's guess of who the judges are
V - very level design contest
levels must all be extremely long in this contest
W - worldpeace level design contest
only worldpeace may enter this level design contest
X - xylophone level design contest

Y - yearlong level design contest
