Fill in the LDC Alphabet!

I was thinking about all the level design contests we've had, and I wanted to see if we could fill out the rest of the alphabet with some basic contest ideas. From the list below: green = done, yellow = potential idea, red = no idea

A - Automatic
B - BaseROM (Bad has been done elsewhere I believe)
C - Chocolate

D - Dynamic [resources]
E - Exchange (swap entries with someone else)
F - Frustrating; Fast (100-second levels); Funny (same as joke)
G - Grassland

H - Halloween or Holiday
I - International
J - Joke (afaik not done here before, maybe done elsewhere)

K - Kaizo
L - Little (similar to Fast/Quick, or could be "Small Mario" related)
M - Musical (level based on song)(done before unofficially); Max-Screen (use every screen in a level) or Mini-Hack (aka one-level hack)
N - Newbie (beginners only); No testing

O - Old-School (thats my contest right now!)
P - Painful, Pit
Q - Questionable
R - Reverse (scores first, levels second), Right-to-Left, or Rearrangement (only edit by rearranging objects/sprites)
S - Special, Strawberry or Summer
T - Tubular (as in the level)
U - Underwater

V - Vanilla
W - Winter

X - Xyloid (aka forest/wood) or X-over (crossover with other media)
Y - Yoshi (not to be confused with YILDC, which we have done, but that's double letters so I'm considering this slot open)
Z - Zany

(feel free to suggest more ideas for yellow letters!)
X - Xyloid Level Design Contest. The submissions must be either a forest levels, or have the concept of wood / trees somehow integrated into the level.

I mean, there ARE a lot of resources within and outside SMW that are already meant to resemble wood, so this might not be the most limiting thing in the world, but it definitely could make for some interesting ideas. Then again, maybe themes this specific are better suited to a surprise 24hoSMW theme..

Some kind of Music LDC could be cool, like the inverse of the recent 72+48ho SPC contest: you're given a couple of songs to choose from, and you make a level based on your interpretation of a song
P - Pit Level Design Contest. A contest aimed at Kaizo Pit levels.

D - Dynamic Level Design Contest. A contest filled with all sorts of dynamic resources. (Not exactly sure what things could be here, though it sounds like an interesting concept nonetheless)

That's all I could think of, lol.

Lots of love, S1Z2 #w{<3}
Off the top of my head...

L - Little (Purposefully short levels or maybe ones requiring the player to stay as Small Mario)
T - Tubular (Entries that take inspiration from the Special World and its levels)

Also, just as an extra note, Summer could technically be added to the S abbreviations, though the LDC in question was actually called The Summer Level Contest. I'm unsure if it would fully count or not in this case.
What is a Lunar Magic, and can I eat it?
Y - Yoshi Level Design Contest. You have to design a level oriented around usage of Yoshis. Be it vanilla or ASM.
G - Grassland Level Design Contest. Make a level that takes place in grassland a.k.a. most used SMW level theme. The primary point is to think of possibly most creative interpretation of 'grassland'.
I have a Discord server as well! (by joining, you agree to the rules)

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

Short levels could probably fit into F[ast], L[ittle], M[icro/Mini], or Q[uick] LDCs. I guess Short LDC too, technically, but we've already had a few SLDCs.

I do also think contests should be broader in theme than in some of the suggestions, but we've got 17 letters to fill so I'm not gonna be too picky.

Exchange Level Design Contest - halfway through you hand your entry to another person who then finishes it. (I actually exchanged hacks with Lucas for the heck of it a long time ago, but we never ended up showing progress on each other's hacks.)

International Level Design Contest - people from the same country are allowed to team up, and the winners are countries instead of individual people. (kind of like hacking olympics, which is an idea I've been carrying around for ages.)

Reverse Level Design Contest - judges (or AI) come up with a bunch of scores and comments, and you build a level matching one of them.

Right-To-Left Level Design Contest: you just make right-to-left levels.

Rearrangement Level Design Contest: you must use exactly the same objects as an SMW level of your choice and can only move them around.

Underwater Level Design Contest - the challenge is mostly in making water levels fun.

Newbie Level Design Contest - only first-time LM users are allowed to enter; oldbies may submit only their first levels if they still have them.

Max-screen level design contest - you must design a level which uses the maximum horizontal space. if the horizontal level height is increased, or a vertical level mode is used, it must also use most (or all) of the vertical space as well.
(M)usical Level Design Contest
Design a level based around a song selection picked by the judges.
Name a level after a song in such a way that it relates to the level's theme. Example: A level named "Bounce With Me" after the Bow Wow song should have bouncy elements, such as Note Blocks or enemies that bounce.

(C)rossover Level Design Contest
Design a level that incorporates something from another media franchise, like Mario going through Green Hill Zone or fighting Decepticons.
Quintesson Judge: Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!
Hot Rod: I have nothing but contempt for this court!

Maybe instead:
(X)-over Level Design Contest
Gamma's got a cool idea, C is already taken, Xylitol is a little weird #smrpg{:D}, and X is commonly used for this anyway (as well as eXchange but that's already on E...)

I may or may not have just went through a list of X words and grabbed the first word I could find that seemed even vaguely like it could fit into a level theme - the Crossover idea's pretty good, though.

Already exists, except you (the entrant) were the one picking the songs. I'd like to see it revived with that twist, though.

It could have a Mini-Hack Level Design Constest/One-Level-Hack Level Design Constest, wich consist that the Participants make a Huge Level (in the Max 6/7 Secondary Exits) Showing some Story around they.
I don't think that the Time (the Level Seconds) will be good in that type of Contest, but the Cutscenes and Bosses can be allowed to Make.
Zany Level Design Contest - just bring your craziest level ideas to the table, no matter how absurd and unorthodox they are.

Good luck finding a word that starts with Q though, I have no idea what you could choose that could be in an actual contest. The only word I can think of is Questionable. lol

Maybe that would be levels that are meant to be beaten within a very small time limit, such as 100 SMW seconds? That way, participants are forced to pack as much fun stuff as they can into a level that will be done and over with rather quickly. Now there's an interesting idea.

Technically I already suggested that with F[ast]LDC, but it's probably easier to make that Q[uick] to get it out of the way. That does mean F needs a category, though.

Also, feel free to continue suggesting ideas for the yellow letters! Really only the green letters are set in stone, and even then SLDC and WLDC are fairly outdated / inconsistent compared to the others.

Frustrating Level Design Contest, making a level as annoying or as unfun to play as possible. Thus, frustrating.

Funny Level Design Contest - all joke levels, the funniest ones win (might just get the joke entries out of the way from the serious contests)
