This looks pretty good, I'm really looking forward to the release.

Okay, I guess it's time for a bump again...
I need your advice. I kinda finished making new beach / sand ExGFX. I planned on using them in world 2, but I decided to try how they'd look in the desert, and they look pretty good indeed.
Now I want you to tell me which ExGFX I should use:

Should I use these new ones?
Or should I stick to the old ones?

By the way, the demo will be released very soon. From what I can see, I've just got to fix the FG position of all secondary entrances.


 
The new ones, because one color is better than repeating structures.
Your layout has been removed.
If you use the new ones, spice them up a bit. Add pebbles and boners or something.
To be honest, I prefer the old ones to the new ones. I'm not saying that your graphics are bad, but I think the new ones are more detailed and they would fit better. But if you want to use the old ones, I'd suggest to make what Waweegee said.
I guess you're right... The new GFX would be better off on the beaches of world 2, and I could add more detail to them until then.

Good news for everyone who was looking forward to the demo! After a long time of trial, error and bug fixes, it's finally there!

Very enjoyable, I found a glitch though.

In monty's domain [3rd level I think], where two blocks are, water beneath, and some teleporting blocks, the teleport block on the right, leads to the correct place, but if you hug the left wall and hit the left teleport block, it teleports to the underground where the p-switch was.

The levels were long, smooth, great etc. :D

Its in the readme, but you bring the P-Switch to the yellow pipe in the beginning of the level, and when youre in the underground room you hit it

Anyways, it was a fun demo. The only problem I saw was Pokey could still move in the letter scenes. Still, it is better than what I could do. Keep it up!

Also, thanks for pointing out the teleport bug - I'll fix it in the next demo - or, if the glitches are grave enough, I'll release a version 1.1.

The readme explains how to get the secret exits btw.

fix this, moving the teleport block.

Watch, i made a Super Mario 64 level
Okay, I decided to release a version 1.1. The bug you guys mentioned should be fixed now, along with some other minor fixes in the readme.

I guess it's time for a bump - with some screenshots of course. This time I'll show some graphical updates:


The new presents logo. Better? Worse?


New feather GFX. Yes, I know I'll have to redraw the feathers scratched in the ground.



New ground GFX! These turned out very nice IMO. I still have to draw the normal slopes though.

The first level of world 2 is mostly finished, just fixing some stuff here and there. For more screens of the actual level (with outdated GFX), check the Screenshots thread.


 
First Screen: The new "Nintendo Presents" logo looks a lot better, I prefer those shaded letters to the regular white ones. Good job on them!

Second Screen: The new feather graphics also look really nice, although you haven`t changed too mcuh of the original SMW feather graphics, I suppose.

All other screens: This level looks interesting and well-designed. And the new grass graphics also look good, but there's something that bugs me about them... maybe you could add some more details on the dirt of the grass. Just a suggestion though.
