Halloween

Halloween is approaching. Do you have any plans for this spooky holiday?

As for me, I usually don't do anything special on Halloween, so this year will not be much different for me. I haven't ever cared for trick-or-treating or pranking people, and I don't care for candy all that much. However, Halloween is my birthday, so it is somewhat of a special occasion.

Anyways, discuss your plans and thoughts on Halloween below!
I have something really scary planned.

I'm going to go to work that night

My favorite part of Halloween is always the costumes. I love the one day it's normalized to dress up as whatever you feel like. I love Reese's cups, Mr. Goodbars and Snickers but the older you get, the more you end up wearing them.

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!

Haven't truly celebrated Halloween since I was a kid.
I'm too poor to afford any kind of cool costume and I don't have many friends to hang out with so I doubt I'll do anything this year either.

I was invited to do a thing this time, but I don't know if I'll go.

I work that night, oops. Not that I would have had anything planned otherwise.... any plans would have been ruined because of the you-know-what.

Sigh...
winter.

Anyways, I'll probably do what I usually do at this time of year: sit at home, eating candy, watching Halloween specials all day. Nothing special, though I do have fond memories of watching said specials, so it's always a treat to see them again.
i stopped celebrating halloween after being 10 years old
I'm going to be sitting at home, eating bowls of chocolate and candy, possibly having a few drinks, and maybe spending one night this year not thinking about COVID-19 - although that last one may be a pipe-dream.
Halloween tradition is awesome... but sadly I live in South America where we don't have this tradition. Even worse, I live in Brazil, in which we have Carnival instead... and I hate it. Brazilian Carnival is the very opposite of Halloween - it's extremely obnoxious, usually vulgar and even pornographic at times. There are exceptions to that but I won't get into the merit of them since this thread isn't about Brazilian Carnival.

On the other hand, though, Halloween is family-friendly, meant for all ages, and it's much more fun and innocent in comparison. The spooky-themed decorations, costumes and characters make up for some fun times. I'd trade Carnival for Halloween for sure.

halloween is much cooler because it has lots of sweets to eat
I would be going to my church's annual chili/dessert cook-off/costume contest/Trunk or Treat if COVID-19 didn't cause it to be canceled. :(

Never actually celebrated Halloween, since it's not part of my culture, but I like the visuals and whatnot. I don't think I know much about real Halloween though, other than its origins as a pagan thing and that the pumpkins used to be something else (?), otherwise I'm way more familiar with the commercialized version of it, which is pretty much everywhere, even in countries where people don't celebrate Halloween (not unlike Christmas imagery being everywhere, including places where that isn't even a holiday or part of the local culture), the world is weird like that sometimes.

I'm "celebrating" Halloween by just staying home. Right now I'm not in the mood to do anything as I was a few years ago, but it's part of growth, I guess.

Are you alive or just breathing?

I've been invited to a party by a girl I know.

I don't know if I'm going to go.

I want to, but. Anxiety... and stuff.

My halloween will not be so different than last year, my country does not celebrate it and with the pandemic I can not meet with my friends to play super smash bros wii

So i'll just watch tv... I can't even eat candy, those are very expensive in my country.

Fight everyone for everlasting peace!

Go and enjoy! If you lose an opportunity like this, you may regret it. Just think that everything is going to be fine and have fun!

As for myself... probably nothing because of the pandemic, just stay at home doing anything.

Pretty sure all off 2020 was just 1 long Halloween-ish nightmare induced shit show. The actual holiday can't throw anything at me. My mind is already numb #tb{:p}

I would just spend some quiet time at home, answering the door every 5 minutes but I don't think anyone is coming this time around.
