Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Galaxy 2

What did happened to Super Mario Galaxy 2? Why it didn't get in Super Mario 3D All-Stars? Will it be in an update/DLC?

I don’t think SMG2 will be in SM3DAS because it’s only available for a limited time. Maybe we can wait but Nintendo forgot about it on the Mario Medley. So don’t get your hopes up. I thought SMG was better anyways, but it would’ve been nice to see SMG2 there too. Nintendo just doesn’t want to listen to their fans, but that doesn’t ruin SM3DAS. I am still excited for other stuff, like the fact that SM64 is based on the Shindou version of SM64 (at least from what I know), I never played Super Mario Sunshine and always wished to play it (especially in 16:9 900p or 1080p), and the fact that I always wanted to play SMG in HD ever since a baby. It’s a small thing for me that they missed SMG2, but everything else looks good!

The most sensible theory I heard was Yoshi controls wasn't something that could be ported over for lack of equivalence and this might have been put together really quickly. No one knows if there is going to be a downloadable SMG2 port if or when they do rework Yoshi around the Switch.

I am stoked to be getting this set Friday, in any case, since the only one I played was SM64. I slept through GameCube, Wii, and Wii U. To me, therefore, there is a lot of "new" content even without SMG2. I plan on doing the missions for the pin set too - the SMW one alone to me is worth the effort.

I Think Nintendo wants to save it for later, Or they find it difficult to port it.

...Or probably they forgot about SMG2.
i will change this eventually
From what I heard, Miyamoto was the only one on the dev team who liked it, the rest hated it. Then there's issues with Lubba not being brand friendly.
Let's milk Sunny Milk. Then she'll have enough money to fund Sunny Milk Real Estate.

What I hope it is: Maybe they're saving Galaxy 2 for a Super Mario 3D All-Stars 2, containing it, 3D Land and 64 DS.

What I think it actually is: The entire collection probably didn't get a lot of development time and had to get finished quickly in order to be ready for the anniversary. They probably just ran out of time porting Galaxy 2 and thus had to ditch it.
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
Honestly, I'm not all that fussed about Galaxy 2, since there's plenty here for me to do anyway...

I've never played Super Mario Sunshine ever at all, so that will be a totally new game to me. Galaxy 1 I have played but never completed it, and this was like when it first came out so it'll mostly feel like a new game to play too (like, I can remember the concept, but not really that many levels stick in my head). And the original SM64 - I've only played the DS remake. Not sure whether I'll complete that one personally, since I imagine the DS remake was still far superior but let's see. I'll give it a go, but it might be too familiar.

Don't get me wrong, if they did bring out Galaxy 2 on a seperate release I'd be down and snap it up for sure. We'll see what time brings, but I don't think it's immediately on the table.

But all in all I'm proper excited for this, and I imagine I'll spend a lot of hours on it!
I think YA I M R U 2 is not available because Nintendo honestly just quickly shat these ports out for the 35th anniversary for a quick and easy $60 especially with manufactured scarcity driving hardcore fans and scalpers up the wall. Not shaming anyone for wanting or buying this btw. Just Nintendo's business choices and scalpers for being trash.

It does say something that you can get the Crash and Spyro combo pack from Activision for $60 and they're complete remakes (with different hitboxes due to the new engine but), or three barely altered games for the same price just because of the Nintendo and Mario brand. And it's limited time only.

I just saw Vinny's review of the direct instead of the actual thing. But yeah... I honestly was so exited to what this "Super Mario Bros. 35" was. I was imagining it being like SMG and SM3DW combined. But it's just the original SMB on the NES with new gimmicks. But on the bright side I get to actually legitimately play SMS and get to re-experience SMG! But yeah... This is rather somewhat cheap....

I'd purchase it for Sunshine (<3) but I'd rather save the money I have for a few more months so it doesn't make as much of a dent when I decide to buy a few games, so I'd probably have to wait a few months which would probably make it so that buying the physical version online becomes a game of Avoid The Scalper, and used copies would also cost upwards of €60 unlike new copies on stores (of which there are none in my town, I'd have to drive to one) and the eShop.

I like having a physical version just so I don't lose it in case the console fries, I actually intend on buying a physical copy of Odyssey for that reason.

Ideally I'd be able to just put backups as bitrot is sadly a thing, purchasing just to aid smaller devs, but modding the Switch is still risky, and I've heard bad dumps of 3D Allstars are all over the place.
