Length: 28 exit(s)
Type: Standard: Normal
Description: History:

"A few years ago a mysterious gem fell in Mushroom Kingdom,

unfortunately it was Bowser who found it. Mario, when knowing about this, went in search of that gem, but unfortunately, Bowser's henchmen managed to catch him and he was imprisoned in a place called Gehenna, he needs to escape from there and stop Bowser before it's too late."

"Mario - The Mysterious Gem" is a hack that i started in 2018, which has passed through many changes between this time (ike i did too, my thoughts have changed, my level design has also changed), the hack is almost done (to be honest, i just need to polish some more things and finish the last level and also get a final boss).

So let me introduce to you the second demo of my hack, you will find varied levels in it, some normal but with a slight focus on exploration, levels more focused on a gimmick and some more common but cool levels.

I hope you enjoy playing my hack.
Screenshots:
Didn't complete it due to what happened in Thwomp's Castle and a failure to find a good place to save. I'd also recommend adding a power up before your bosses if you want this hack to be more Standard: Normal difficulty.

* Bonus Game:
** Music isn't present. It's kinda eerie.

* Lava Overworld:
** There's a white tile in the bottom middle of the map that you can see when the HDMA wobble moves up.

* Gehenna Corridor:
** The Spiny gets a little stuck if you let it walk all the way to the start of the level.

* Fryguy's Castle:
** Dunno why, but entering the mallet autoscroller, during loading, there's a mallet in the lower left hand part of the screen.

* Magnum Cave:
** Only has two dragon coins. Generally, either don't have them or have five.

* Magnum Forest 3:
** Four dragon coins. See above.

* Magnum Forest 4:
** Four dragon coins. See above.

* Magnum Top Secret:
**
After you enter the secret, there's some unfinished wall you can see up and to the left of the entry pipe.

**
Same area: you can softlock yourself in the ceiling pretty easily. I think the munchers are your attempt to fix this? They don't quite work.

* Afternoon Madness:
** You've got two pipes that take you to the same sub-level.
** In the sub-level, if you land on the far right spot of lava right near the entry pipe, it zoops you down to the bottom of the screen. Harmless since I'd die anyway, but it looks weird.

* #3 Thwomp's Castle:
** The halfway point spawns you above a lava pit that you can't avoid.

* Got to be free!
** Technically, if you're really really dumb, you can get softlocked at the beggining of the level by throwing all the blocks and missing. Not remotely important, because it's literally the first room of the game, and it's really dumb, but thought you should know.

* Magnum Forest 4:
** In the sublevel with the spring and dragon coin, you can scroll up and see the unfinished area above.

* Pulchura Land:
** Dragon coin check.

* Vandfalf Caves:
** Some of the slopes are the sort that catch you when you run up them. Not ideal.

* Sanara Desert:
** Can take a buzzy beetle through a pipe. Beetle turns into a blocky looking sprite.

* Sanara Athletic:
** The ropes seem to change size randomly between respawns. I'm just baffled.

* Sanara Oasis
** You can't exit the water area at the end of the level without dying. Just can't jump out. Kinda mean, but it's your call here.

* Calidus Desert:
** Way too much slowdown once the super Koopa spawner turns on.

* The Boom Pyramid:
** Midway is broken. If you die after getting it and reenter the level, it puts you back at the start. When you get back to the midway, the tape is gone. Probably a sublevel thing, but I don't really know.
** Has those slopes like Vandfalf Caves does.

* End of Demo
** Kinda breaks the overworld's background. Not a huge deal for a demo.
