Luigi's New Adventure (Featuring NSMB DS wii and wii u Graphics!!)

Standard

just a quick note i decided to seperate the two hacks that where sharing a thread so that hack is this one so now what is this hack

Luigi's New adventure is a hack that uses alot off Nsmb graphics ds wii and wii u i was really inspired to make this hack after seeing a hack called the hand of chaos/super mario crisis

Screenshots:

i plan on releasing this hacks demo on either this year 2020 or on c3 winter on 2021

btw the luigi sprite is a placeholder btw

feedback would be nice #w{=)}

For the 6th screenshot, I've seen better shell GFX, but the rest is great.
this is some quality stuff right there

Best graphics ever. However, do you go behind the shell or is it a block?

This stuff is really crisp-looking for having been downported to SNES. The forest with the trees is probably most impressive in how much quality the trees and bushes retain, and the trees still absolutely look 3D. I assume a background is still coming for the castle, yes? The overworld water is pretty and I love the tropical portion of the map especially! Every subsection has a ton of levels - do you have a lot of these pre-planned or are you doing improv level design to hopefully fill each dot?

The only things that look off to me are the upside-down slopes in the cave (the narrowness of the surface and the very dark lines seem out of place connecting to the other tiles, but if this is how the rip originally presented itself, then I understand) and the color depth of the Koopa house took a big hit, but it's not necessarily bad-looking. On the overworld, there's a tree in the lower left that's half on land, half over water. I found it humorous when I noticed it, but I don't know if you intend to tweak the land or remove the tree.

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!

yeah i still have to rip it i usually tend to rip the foregrounds first since there easier to rip than the backgrounds

More progress and stuff (Ignore redrawn luigi bad palettes and the water in screenshot 3 btw)
the background is 2bpp (layer 3) and the geysers are layer2

This background uses mostly hdma because ill run out of palettes if i use normal palettes instead of hdma

better cave tileset this one is more polished then the one i showed before

Grassland fg is somewhat polished just needs a few more decorations the blue hills are layer 3 and the grass part is layer 2

Looks good! The graphics really make it stand out.
Not often that you see NSMB graphics used this well, so major kudos for that. The environments seem to be a bit on the empty side, though.
your simplistic human mind cannot possibly comprehend the complexities of my thoughts
Thanks i also learned how to make my own sprites so there should be some new custom bosses or enemies in this hack from the nsmb series or other games
