Super Cool World 2: A super cool (hopefully) vanilla kaizo

Kaizo/PitSuper Mario WorldVideo/TrailerScreenshots

The first Super Cool World was okay, I guess. Here's a sequel that approximately zero people asked for. But since dealing with custom stuff can be a hassle and I'm lazy, I'm going vanilla this time (minus stuff like retry patch and custom music).

8 levels done so far, aiming for 20-ish, hoping to be done by the end of the year.

Some screenshots (from LM since that's easier) ---

And also!! Full plays of a couple of my favorites so far (no cool trailer sorry) ---

also I need playtesters, pm if interested #smw{;)}
The aethetics here are very cool! Especially the BG in the mountain level.

My Discord server. It has a lot of archived ASM stuff, so check that out!

The aesthetics look pretty nice, they don't seem to get too busy. Level design-wise, I'm not really into kaizo so I can't comment on that but it looks good

The screenshots look like they are fine but given the nature of the hack, they don't start to tell the story. It looks very different in action, and a lot more impressive.

Mountain1 is really pretty... I always liked sea green with various cool purples, and the pink radishes look great with it. Absolutely no downtime apart from the midpoint is afforded. What a beast. Tasteful music selection too. What is that song?~

About your vertical level in specific: I felt like the movement itself was part of the video's aesthetic, not strictly the music and graphics. Mario's pace and pattern of scaling seems to goes hand-in-hand with the double-helix arrangement of the stars, and the level's palette seems to be the same temperature as the music, if that makes sense. Intended or not as such an artsy piece, give yourself a pat on the back - that really is cool.

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
I gotta say, this BG design sure looks good! I really love the palette choices made in the screenshot. I'm not a big kaizo guy but this looks great!
Currently working on:
Super Kekcroc World 4 (lol jk)
The words Cool and Kaizo in the same sentence just sounds wrong to me #smrpg{sad}
The detailed stuff is really a nice touch! it indeed looks C-O-O-L

Not really intentional, just ended up working out really well. Thanks!
I adore the aesthetics in this hack! Can't wait to see some folks play it.
Aesthetics are good. A shame I'm not a kaizo fan.
Like everyone else has said, the aesthetics are pretty good. Makes great use of the vanilla assets for sure. Level-design wise, it's definitely Kaizo. There's some good setups and fun execution. Looking good so far! :)

Well, both videos show interesting tricks and the visuals are very pleasant. If I can, I would love to test this hack FerpyMcFrosting. :)
Wow, this is really well made! Your aesthetic and level design skills are on point here, lots of gorgeous colors and fun looking levels. Good work!

The palettes in some levels are quite interesting (especially looking at the last video). The level design though seems fair and creative so calling this cool is justified I guess #tb{^V^} I also like the music you used in your 2 vids.
So i guess except for the palette thing (which can be subjective though) there's nothing really to complain, which is always a good sign, that you're doing good with your hack! #smw{:TUP:}

I support that very kaizo hack and support your effort.

I liked the hack

Tip:
Definitely a super cool kaizo hack with good aesthetics and pleasing pallets for sure.

This is well made and impressive with what's shown here.

This will assuredly be done before the sequel to the hack that must not be confused with Super Cool World. ;) Looking forward to it :D
That Loop you do right near the end of Vertical was so satisfying to see happen.

(whats the music used in that level by the way?)

The Mountain level looks pretty insane for someone who is not good at Kaizo but I'll always enjoy seeing them been played for me.
