As I'm sure most of you know already, most browsers no longer support programs using Adobe Flash anymore, and by 2021 it will be apparently be completely dead, making Flash games and such permanently impossible to play. When I first heard this, I didn't really give a damn since most of those games I never cared much about, but it's starting to actually hit me just how many Flash games I can think of that I genuinely did really like, that I had a lot of fun playing in one way or another and would totally miss if they were gone. Newgrounds' solution has been to create their own application that lets you play Flash games on their site even after all of this, but the problem is that this only applies to games on Newgrounds specifically. Awesome games from other obscure sites that were never put on Newgrounds look like they're screwed.
I'm hoping one of you tech-savvy folks could help me out here. I tried to look for some other way to run Flash apps, but most of the grand solutions that come up on Google sound like bullshit to me, or just seem suspicious in general. Do any of you guys know of a way that Flash games can still be played, or is this really the end?
