Need help Rom crash freeze balckscreen no sound??

Hi ! I don't know what is happening or what I did wrong but some of my hack that i tried crash while playing.
The first one that happen was A yoshi's Story. Now I didn't use hacks in a long time and maybe I did something wrong or the hack is too old idk.
In Yoshi the music stop playing when I enter the first level and if i die the game just freeze on a black screen and that's it. my Mario rom is clean i verified with the online and download the software to clean it and it tell that my rom are clean.
The second one is mario Kaos Island. In this Hack I can play the first level with no problem but when I start the second level in the cave the music stop but not from the beggining like in yoshi but 1 minutes in the level and again if i die the game freeze.

Anybody knows what is happening ? I've never patch my hacks before I remember back in the day I was playing .Ips on my emulator on Pc and have no problem. Just had to put a mario rom with the same name as the .Ips nad it worked without patch i think. So maybe i do something wrong.

I remember it happen before on my wii I had homebrew with emulator and the hacks were doing the samething. maybe it has to do with my emulator setting of something or the hacks are too old and the emulator is too recent. Idk but it,s weird.
Sounds like an older hack with bad music breaking on more accurate emulators.
So is there anything to do to be able to play them or old hacks are lost forever ?
I tried other old hack i've download around the same time some years ago and they seem to work for now. Idk if they gonna to the samething some levels in but so far not all the hacks freeze.
SNES9x allows you to use emulation hacks which makes it possible to play on older hacks without resorting to ZSNES (most notably the echo buffer which tend to override the music engine if too big).
The newest bsnes also has these emulation hacks so you have a couple options.
I'm already using Snes9x gonna check the option and try some hack if it works i'm gonna be happy if not I will look for bsnes. Thanks for the reply guys :)
I've got it to work on snes9x with the echo buffer. I had a hard time finding it xD but it works now. the only problem is the rom slows down in some arena where there too much ennemies. It quite annoying sometimes it's like a slow-mo but no consistent. I don't know why it never happen on other roms.

What can I change to get more power or less lag ??

I have another question if I let the option echo buffer in hacks active will it broke my regular rom or do something with newer hacks?
Shoud i deactivate it and activate it everytime i play a old hack ?

It's how the SNES works, unfortunatelly. Especially careless designers tend to put too many sprites on-screen and so the SNES can't finish the frame before it has to render. Certain codes also are quite slow (most famously NMSTL which gives you more free sprite tiles but at a rather huge performance cost) and some others use SA-1 (external chip but complicated, requires a frehs ROM, won't work here) which boosts the game so lags appear more rarely with it. Well, you can compile SNES9x with a faster clock cycle but that's very hacky and not recommend.
On Snes9x you can also adjust the CPU overclock in the hacks menu, same place as echo buffer, which can help but it also may make the parts of the game that normally run fine run too fast.
Ok thanks I've put it on low it seems to work just fine. Anyways I will just use it on hacks that lags.

Thanks guys All my problems are now solved ! :)
