Mario's Keytastrophe (SS + SPCs)

*passes out.

**Someone picks up a note from Lotica that says 'Fucking sweet!'

That's pretty amazing. I'd like to know how you did that.

thats some sweet music. It would be cooler if you showed footage of an attack in the background though.

That be hard because the text is the level. >_>
Yeah, the text is on the level. However, I can put some gameplay images in the same ExGFX file and possibly make it work (the text only uses one colour) We'll see.

Thanks for the feedback.
Did you put mario on conveyor blocks and have "text boxes?" If mario was on a conveyor, that must of been tricky to time!
I really, really like the emotional mood music of the video. It is also very nice because it goes good with the titles. It is different from many other hacks.

Hey, even Maxx is speechless!

Edit: Sometimes this happens, but it seems like I am one of the few who cannot read what Maxx is saying. So I take back my little joke.
I am not a hacker by trade, I am an observer and I can be very observant. I tend to lurk around here to prolong the good experience of playing the original SMW. Whatever can add onto it is something that I will definitely do when I am bored which is often. And I will rarely post and give praise when needed to the hacks that may make me interested to relive memories.

My worst enemy in Mario isn't Bowser but my controller that keeps on getting disconnected from the inside. Might be my memory count.
Oh .. for the title, I just set the row of cememnt blocks, did the video, then centered the text. It was a bit annoying.

Also, double update:

More action in Snowpath of Andante. This, as I said, is a traditional get the key to the end level. There are no places where you can drop or lose the key, so just make sure you keep it with you always.

Mr. Baritone makes his second appearence here. He has built a cannon that fires you over the snowy hills and right into Mozart's lair. Of course, you'll need to find him fuel to power it. Heck, you need to get to him first <_<

Enjoy!
Sounds like the coolest sidequest ever in existance in a smw hack. But one problem... how are you going to show that on the overworld?
Your layout has been removed.
I see Mr. Baritone(My main vocal tone is baritone, BTW) and the key at the top of the second picture. I love the look of the ice stages but there is something weird about the clustered spring board like it is sort of floating out in space, maybe it is just me? Perhaps for the strict conditions in the first screenshot there may be something that automatically eliminates the key if you do drop it.

Then again, your hack is a tech demo of musical wizardry. I really loved the Boothoven music and the very emotional, and "call to action" music video at the beginning. Will the Three Tenors show up(afterall Luciano Pavarotti died recently(R.I.P.) and he is pretty famous musically) or perhaps an alto and soprano?

Maybe Mario has to save Miss Soprano along with Peach. What is the blue parasite on one of those pillars of pic 1? Is it for decoration? I also find pic 2 interesting.

The stalagmites and stalacites aren't meant to hurt Mario. That and a frosted buzzy beetle lend some attention to detail. That and a Wario Land sprited bad guy. Let the good times roll, SNN!

looks great so far. I found a song that might also go good with that.

i thought it'd be good because an italian composer made it... =)
Just back here to browse a bit.
your game looks so fun

@B2T: I'd have to rework it a bit though. I want it to be as custom as possible.

In more important news, here is one of the final updates before the demo release. Aside from a screen or two, this is it before I put up the demo. Keep checking this thread for updates though.

Anyway, here it is - the theme of the main crew of evil, The Lost Composers.

"The Mad Composers"

I worked for a few hours to get it as epic sounding as possible. Enjoy.
Thats really great! I like it a lot! Although it seems your songs all use similar instruments... Maybe have a song with the piano?
This looks really impressive. So, does that warpy-thing in the snowpath level do anything? And what does the Wario Land bad guy do? I don't remember..
