Games You Don't Like, But Everyone Else Does

Mario Kart Wii

You could be just a few metres away from the finish line in 1st place and then you get hit by a Blue Shell knocking you all the way down to 12th because the recovery time is a fucking joke! Not to mention you always get shit items in 1st.
I had one race where I got hit with lightning, POW Block, Red Shell and Green Shell all one after the other. Shit like that is why I quit this game!

Getting shit items in first place on Mario Kart Wii? Lol
1st place items on Mario Kart Wii are decent (you can use bananas and green shells to prevent getting red shell'd, plus, Fake Item Boxes are useful for traps)... If you think item distribution is broken on this game, play Mario Kart 8 (wii u), the one from that game is real bs...
I agree for the blue shells, but not for the rest. At least you get items to defend yourself, but in Mario Kart 8 you get coins in first place like 75% of the time...
Despite Mario Kart 8's recovery time is ok, it's literally the same for each time (ex.: bananas and bob-ombs)
P.S.: Also, Mario Kart Wii doesn't have 7 turtles and pink gold peach lol
RIP my friend's Ridley, he dropped it cuz I combo'd him a bit tol much as Mario.

You think Mario Kart Wii is bad! DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON GOD DAMN MARIO KART 64!!!! THAT GAME IS FUCKING SHIT!!!!! I wouldn't even have a problem with it. If it didn't have FUCKING HORRENDOUS SHITTY ASS RUBBER BANDING!!!!!! MY GOD!!!!! the rubber banding in this game HORRIBLE!!!! If you go even REMOTELY near 1st place. EVERY SINGLE GOD DAMN FUCKING ASSHOLE RACE GOES LITERALLY AT LIKE 990,000,000,000 MILE AN HOUR!!! CONSTANTLY AND I MEAN... CONSTANTLY ramming you up the ass until you fall back. IT'S JUST SOOOOO FUCKING UNFAIR!!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT!!! 2 top worst Mario game of all time! Super Mario 64 DS and the Steaming pile of shit that is Mario Kart 64.
Chill out dude, nothing is worth getting that worked up over. Don't react like this again because it's spammy and unnecessarily hostile.

- Last one is Smash 4 (for Wii U, the 3ds one is decent)... Oh boy, I can talk for hours of what did this game do wrong :
1 - The gameplay is basically Brawl's, but sped up... Whatever, you can be invincible in the air, since you can spam the shield button like a retard and airdodge all the time...
2 - Classic mode with difficulty below 8.0 is "Choose the easiest match"...
8.0 - 9.0 becomes "Choose what you want, a Giant/Metal rival will destroy you easily"... Other than that, it's the only good difficulty
3 - They removed adventure mode, replacing it with an awful Mario Party ripoff... I was fed up of trying to get the last Smash Board achievements
4 - For Fun can be resumed in 2 things : 99% of the time is a "No fight" situation, where if you fight one person, the rest of the lobby will go, kill ya and taunt each time you get KO'd... If you win a lot, you're going to get falsely reported and eventually sent to the shadow realm for no reason (A realm I got in once for 9 days where you will find other falsely reported ppl (or not even a person) for a week or more) The other 1% is so rare that I didn't see it in solo, but on teams : Real matches with items.
For Glory is a literal meme : They call it competitive, but I call it "Salty tryhards realm"...
5 - DLC (which I bought it all)... C'mon, all the DLC characters are broken (Bayonetta, Cloud, Corrin...).
That's it... I've thrown most of the hate to Sm4sh (Wii U) since I dropped it when the exams were coming, and after they were over, there was no way I could get the same vibes as before...
Also, I used to mod that game, but that modding community was complete bs...
Srsly, Roblox community would be seen as gloriously nice compared to it

Sorry but I respectfully disagree with a lot of what was said here. In particular, the Brawl and DLC bit.

Brawl was a laggy, buggy, unbalanced mess of a game. The meme was that Meta Knight was the best character in the game, and that his best counterpick was Meta Knight. Not to mention random tripping, the godawful netcode online, and a general lack of smooth gameplay in general due to how everyone is just so slow and floaty. Nothing in this game was fun. Even Subspace Emissary, arguably the "best" thing to come out of this game, isn't worth coming back for. I can't possibly think of any one thing in Brawl that would make me go, "Hmm, I'd rather play this than Smash 4."

As for the DLC bit, that's an exaggeration and a half. The only character that could qualify as broken is Bayonetta. Maybe, depending on who you ask, debatably Cloud could also qualify too, if you value Doubles over Singles. But even then, these are characters that become less of an issue if you just grind out the matchup and learn it.

Ryu was good but he fell off a cliff near the end of Smash 4.
Mewtwo was good but he also dies at 42 due to tiny weight and a huge hurtbox.
Roy was barely even a top 25 character.
Lucas kept bouncing between low tier and mid tier the entire Smash 4 lifespan.

And being a Corrin main myself, I will be here to tell you that is simply not true in the slightest. Corrin is good, yes, but nowhere close to broken. I don't have ladder combos like Bayonetta does, nor do I have buttons anywhere close to as safe as Cloud's was. A lot of what I have to do is a commitment. So characters who put on offensive pressure give me a really nasty time. Characters like Cloud and Fox still give me nightmares to this day.

And that's not to speak of having bottom 10 worst mobility in the entire game with only a Sheik dash-to-shield to compensate for it, so any character who can zone can literally play the lamest game ever and there's not much Corrin can do about it.

And even with launch Corrin and his busted Counter Surge, if you learn not to press buttons and actually challenge Corrin's neutral and punish accordingly, you shouldn't be getting hit by a single Counter Surge to begin with. So no, my character isn't broken. I've labbed him for years, so I know.

Dislike Smash 4 all you want. I won't judge you for it, but I would at least suggest doing some fact-checking before claiming things that aren't true.

(If you want something to go to brawl instead of Smash 4, play Subspace Emissary using Project M or a mod using it)
Also, I only dislike the Wii U version, but the 3ds one is better tbh... Smash Run is unarguably better than Smash World, the classic mode is less of a "choose the route with the least hazards" because you can't predict what's going to be behind the routes, and despite Master Fortress is absent, it's not that good : Just destroying cores on a maze that's always the same...
Also, I was (obviously) exaggerating with the DLC, but out of the 7 characters, 2 of them are similar to characters in the game (Roy and Lucas are similar to Marth/Lucina and Ness respectively), 3 of them are fan-service (Mewtwo (I still love watching Etika's reaction to the trailer, #smrpg{sad}), Cloud and Bayonetta) and 2 of them are just Fire Emblem (Roy and Corrin).
The DLC also lacks custom moves, that makes them feel out of place...
To be honest, Smash 4 (3ds) is ok, but the Wii U version is just not that great (considering that SSBU exists now and you can also play Melee or Project M)

Sorry... I knew I'd get backlash... I'll pipe down in the future.
Sonic Adventure 2 probably. I really wanted to like it, to the point of playing through it multiple times, but I feel like whenever I go back to it I find myself frustrated and/or bored with the same things every time, namely a few of the Treasure Hunting stages and pretty much all of the Mech shooting stages. I wouldn't necessarily say I "dislike" the game, but I really have a hard time saying that I enjoy it as much as most other people in the Sonic fandom do. And this is as someone who greatly enjoys the majority of the Sonic games.

I know it may seem like I'm just sort of parroting ProJared or Somecallmejohnny, but trust me, I've pretty much always felt this way since I first played it when the 2012 port came out.

I've never seen the appeal of any of the Sonic Adventure games... They just look kinda crappy to me.
In all fairness, the only thing I remember about Sonic Adventure 2 is the Chao Garden. And from what I've read, apparently, that's the only thing that matters in the game.

I wouldn't know. I've never played it. I've only gone off of what I've been told.

Oh good lord do I hate chaos.... I hate those stupid things so much!!!!
Roblox, the items are overpriced hell! and the part i hate the most is jailbreak
Ocarina of Time. I think I didn't enjoy it because Twilight Princess was the first Zelda game I played, so when I went back and played OoT, I got bored of it and never finished it because of its similarities with TP.
Well, only counting ones I've played enough to have a good idea of...

Zelda and Metroid in general. I'm putting these two together because the things I don't like about them are pretty much the same despite one being a top-down or 3D game and the other being a sidescroller (or 3D game, not that I've ever played a 3D Metroid). I don't enjoy not being able to find my way around, nor the excessive backtracking (I think some of the games have teleports, but none that I've played), nor the passages and items hidden in random walls that look identical to the rest of the level. I generally enjoy them during the parts when I actually know what I'm doing, but that's generally a minority of the time.

Shantae. Basically, take Metroid, make the backtracking even more boring, and add a hefty amount of unhealthy obsession with women's breasts, and you have Shantae. I don't take well to Metroidvanias in general (I think Mega Man ZX and its sequel were the only ones I've played and liked), but making one with character designs taken straight from some thirsty boy's DeviantArt page just makes them that much worse.

Sonic the Hedgehog in general. I've never cared for the speed-based style of platforming; I've always much preferred the more calculated kind that you find in things like Mega Man and Donkey Kong. Also, for the games focusing primarily on speed and having an engine ostensibly designed to reflect that fact, I've found that most Sonic levels I've played don't actually let you just barrel through; usually, that's a good way to just crash straight into hazards and lose all your rings.

Banjo-Kazooie. I don't like collectathons either. I don't like most open-world 3D games, actually; Super Mario Odyssey seems decent, and I played Spyro as a kid (whether I'd have the patience for it now, I don't know), but again, I don't like wandering around trying to find where to go while replaying the same levels and sections of levels repeatedly, and I really don't like looking all over for a bunch of collectibles while doiing so. (I spend enough time looking for crap in real life....)

Most 3D Mario games. I've played Super Mario 64 and didn't like it (see my above comment re: Banjo-Kazooie for the basic idea why), I haven't played Super Mario Sunshine but am worried about it having the same problems as 64 with the addition of really jerkish collectibles, I liked Super Mario 3D Land and liked Super Mario 3D World even better, I thought Super Mario Galaxy was okay but couldn't stand the Nunchuck controls, I haven't played Super Mario Galaxy 2 but expect it to be like the first, and the jury's still out on Super Mario Odyssey for sure, but it actually seems all right so far.

Classic Final Fantasy, from what I've played, which is mostly 6 with a tiny bit of 3 and 5. I usually hate random encounters and ATB systems, and those have both, except in some of the later games (maybe I'd like Final Fantasy 10 more?). I did like Bravely Default, though; the battle system was much better (it had its problems sometimes, but it beat the heck out of ATB), the encounter rate was adjustable, and I ended up really wishiing that classic Final Fantasy had been more like it. I've also been enjoying Octopath Traveler, though it doesn't have an adjustable encounter rate and has some nasty bosses.

----------------

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
Well, here is my list:

Roblox: I never played the era when it wasnt bad, but that is not the point. the point is that everyone is an asshole with the new players, including me. I remember a guy that started to call me cry baby for no fucking reason. The word 'Clickbait' fits perfectly to describe this game. Bad minigames, a community filled with big babies, admins with mental issues, etc. I regret trying it.

Also dont forget the exagerated prices there

Club Penguin(mid2014-2017):This game started to suck since mid 2014, since that time a game about penguins and puffles became a shitty-ass pay to win, the developers gave priority to members and showed their middle finger to the non-members, thats the main reason i stopped playing it (2012-mid2014 was the time i played it). Btw, Parties became dissapointing and the game sucked so much that memberships in my country passed from 20.000 to 350.000. For some reason Club Penguin closed. But for some reason some persons loved it ignoring the bad facts

And CPI doesnt needs an explanation, it explains itself

Grand Theft Auto I & II: The less memorable GTA, every aspect in the first one are gross, i only died because of the bad controls. The camera distracts me so much and makes it harder than it needs to be. Some people find them Classic, not me.

GTA London is a copy-paste of GTA I

Yoshi's Island DS: THE WORST NINTENDO GAME I HAVE EVER SEEN! I didnt like the concept of adding new baby versions of the characters, they should appear in other game related with YI, the new bosses dissapointed me so much. But the only good fact is the music, i found it decent.

It was not hard making an adaptation like the GBA one

To end this list i will put some dishonorable mentions:

Doki Doki Literature Club!

Undertale

DOOM (2016)

God Of War

FIFA and its rival PES

And that's it for now
i swear i posted in here already but i guess i didnt?
i think the entire megaman/rockman line is hella overrated. i mean, theyre good games, and i dont necessarily dislike them (not that ive played them all), but i feel like people wank them off waaay too hard. applies to their gameplay as well as their music

I actually really like the Shantae games, actually quite a few people feel that way about the whole sex appeal thing... I heard the whole backtracking thing is only a problem in Shantae revenge of risky. Also your thoughts on Sonic... I only like the genesis games. Most of the other games are either average(Sonic Advance 3),mediocre(Knuckles Chaotix), or just straight up SUCK!(Shadow the Hedgehog,Sonic and the Secret Rings,Sonic Unleashed,Sonic 06,Sonic Lost World,Sonic Mania, etc...) But the thing about "If you barrel through you just run into Spikes/Traps and lose all your rings." That seem to only apply to Marble Zone/Metropolis Zone or just Sonic 1 in general. I don't know man that's what I think...
P.S. It appears you just started playing Super Mario Odyssey right?

I’ll agree with this one. I tried to go through the series recently, and while it’s certainly not outright bad, I’m surprised at how lazy the level design feels, and often even does the sort of things that would get a hack from here criticized. I think some ideas are really cool (the whole “play in any order you want” idea is a classic of course), but as a whole those games bore me to pieces.

Mega Man X was quite a bit of fun though - The music made up for it mainly.

I tried to get into Half-Life 2 (these criticisms also apply to the episodes), it's actually the earliest video game in my memory at all, but... wow, it's just a glorified movie at points. Plus the parts where you actually do get to control Dr. Freeman just don't feel as good as the first game, the story isn't as good, and I honestly don't believe Dr. Freeman (who was literally acting in nothing but self-interest in HL1) would ever gain such a messianic status among humanity, so whenever someone (that is to say everyone, including the retconned-in administrator of the entire company) recognizes me it takes me out of the immersion a little.

Also, physics weren't impressive in 2004. The ZPEFM was kinda cool but they were way too self-congratulatory about it.

I really didn't like Super Mario Odyssey. At first it was fun, but then it just stopped being fun after I finished the main story mode. There really wasn't much do to. Plus the 2-player mode is trash.
Mario never letsa me save the princess.
