What happened with C3?

I wasn't aware it was already over. I don't think I ever even saw it at the top of the site...

There was a countdown before C3, a forced site scheme for a day, a big ass news post, like 50 logged in users a day, and a C3 content spotlight since day 1.

I honestly have no idea how you could've possibly missed it.

to hear birds and see none.
I must have been away on the day the site scheme was changed, and probably never noticed the C3 forum was there...

I think on the second day and after it the C3 was a bit too discrete visually than the usual, probably that could have confused you since we don't pay much attention to the rope box outside events (and it didn't help that this C3 didn't have any special icons around the rope box compared to the other ones).

To avoid that in the future, don't forget also to force the C3 banner on the administration/events panel (there is a field for override banner somewhere above the force scheme dropdown). That way on the subsequent days you won't need to force a scheme on the userbase but they can still see the C3 banner on the site.

It was my first time running the majority of a C3, so there was definitely a learning curve, and I'm still learning a lot of admin stuff as I go. As for not running the timers, we were kind of behind schedule getting all the C3 prep done and were even unsure if we'd hit the event on schedule, so we were worried about putting up a timer and having to revoke it.

Let it be a lesson to me to never again underestimate how much time it takes to put together an event.
Well, thank you for your efforts anyway! It is no easy task indeed. And I'm sure the event was generally successful, so you be proud of that.
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
Yeah! The event went very smoothly even if the planning was a bit rocky, and that's all that matters in the end. Hope everyone had fun with it.
