Fire Incident of Kyoto Animation Studio

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was the first anime I ever watched and to this day it's still my all time favorite. Brings back so many fond memories. I loved dunking on endless eight (even though I later came to realize it was genius). Mikuru Asahina was my first anime crush. The story is absolutely incredible, and The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya only made it better.

This is really sad to see. It now says 23 people are dead. I don't know what possessed this man to set the building on fire, but it's truly disgusting. Clearly this man had some internal struggles he couldn't cope with, but it's absolutely unacceptable to take the lives of so many people just because you're suffering or because you couldn't get help.

My thoughts are with Kyoto Animation, the victims, and their families. God bless.

I was following this before I went to sleep last night and I just don't ever understand why people resort to doing this stuff. There's always a better way to handle any situation you find yourself in instead of taking someone elses life...

Really saddens me to hear that there's so many deaths as before I logged off previously there were 2 confirmed at that time. 2 Is still too many though, even 1 would be. Apparently there were sharp objects such as knives found too and at the time suspected to belong to the arsonist. Not sure what truth came up about those between then and now.

My heart goes out to anyone that's been affected by this.

E: Now it's 25.
