Richter: Die monster. You don't belong in this world!

Ultima: It was not by my hand that I am once again given motivation.... I was called here by humans, who wish to pay me tribute.

Richter: Tribute!?! You hypnotize men's souls, and make them your slaves with your demonic music!

Ultima: Perhaps the same could be said of all musicians...

Richter: Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a musician such as you!

Ultima: What is a port? A miserable little pile of music data! But enough talk...

HAVE AT YOU!

also I think I need to end my life with a fucking Hydro Storm shower after making this tbh

I like it when there's ports of songs that go out of the way to set it self apart from most other songs, like how this one has an interesting time signature and lots of different. Pretty brave of you, and this port sounds really cool too.

heh, thanks a lot dude #smw{^_^;}

honestly, this was not easy to make, even with a MIDI (which despite being actually pretty accurate, editing it was a pain in the ass), but ngl, I am happy with the results anyway

tho yeah, I think I should probably take a small break after this; making complex ports like these really takes away a lot of your willpower you know :V

Holy hell this port is stunning. Definitely one of your best so far. Well done!

You have outdone yourself, great job #smw{:TUP:}
Shit! I'm using Divine Bloodlines as one of the main themes for my romhack! Thank God you ported Richtor's Battle theme!! I can't wait to possibly use this!

Great to see more ports from you. Good instrument choices and pretty great mixing for the SNES.

Welp, I was pretty much preparing some stuff to make this thread not dead again, but people are posting here again, sooooooooo... I'm posting these anyway lmao

Well, first off, here is the link for the port on the music section, now optimized and ready for SMW:

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Blood Relations

And as a extra, here's a cool video upload of the port I made with a oscilloscope view (it's also the non-optimized version, so it's of a better quality than the one on the site):

That should be all for now, thanks for all the support!!!

Fanatical like a Demon
Pretty rad port. Never played the game before so I can't give SPECIFIC feedback (like be nitpicky etc), however I can say the port was well mixed. The vibrato must've been a pain (assuming you had a definitive sound you were after and were going for it). Nice to also see a port that relies on echo not using it in its drums, a lot of the times people think it just sounds cool and it kills the mix (while this is subjective it can be used quite well in some mixes). I think it would've sounded nice to enable the echo on the snare. Nice job!
Major thanks to Suika Ibuki for layout!
I'm open for music requests, just DM me on discord and we can further discuss there.

Thanks :V

Well, for the vibrato, I was actually using a combination of vibrato and tremolo before this so I could make the sample sound smoother and mask the looping on it, but since I managed to optimize the samples enough as to make the loop a lot better, I just kept the vibrato and did what I usually do with the ports I do while using vibrato (tho I did use a much stronger amplitude for this, which was actually a artifact that was left from that time I was making the samples smoother, but I kept it anyway because it sounded cool enough lol; the strings especially sound really "voice-like" with the vibrato, which I find it being a nice effect)

As for the echo on the snare, honestly, I kinda stopped giving echo to snares in my ports and only doing that for a specific reason nowadays, tho that reason varies between port to port; there's also the fact that it's a really big pain in the ass to implement echo on drums, since no matter what the instrument changes will be constant, and that means that you'll have to be mindful of literally every single one of those changes, so nowadays I mostly just put echo on the toms and crash cymbals lmao

Glad that you liked the mixing in this btw; for this one I tried to be as creative as I could with the mixing, and trying to pan most of those channels was actually quite fun while making this cover haha
