Not-So-Lonely Ports Thread

MusicSuper Mario World

I remember being pleasantly surprised when I first heard it, you definitively did a good job on it. Didn't you make that ISS port as well?

also RIP /vr/ collab again

My hacks: Justice for Mario / Unnamed Kaizo Hack
Yup, I made that port too, though it was a straight SPCtoMML port so I won't submit it. This version of Starlight has a new flute at the beginning, fake echo on the harp, and different echo parameters overall.

What's happening to the collab anyway? I was making some progress on my huge-ass exploration level.

Last thread didn't gain much traction before getting archived, and ever since there's been no new word from the organizer. Unless he appears again soon then it's pretty much dead again.

So we have the same level of information about the collab's status. I'm honestly starting to lose hope, and looking at it unfold kind of gave me an idea. I brought it up in the Lunariville discord (French SMW Hacking server) and I'd be interested in reviving the collab they had started a long while ago. You might hear more about it in the future, who knows!
Hey welcome back!

This is a really nice port. I like the Final Fantasy VI (I think?) samples used in this.
hi
I like how relaxing this port sounds. It's really good!

They're all from Chrono Trigger, though the two games probably share a bunch of samples, so same difference really. I used these samples because the strings at the beginning reminded me of Morning Sunlight, and it turned out fairly similar as well, in terms of sound.

Thanks! I honestly prefer making that kind of song, since I always fail to make impactful percussions, for some reason. I'm trying to get better though!
Welcome back. Hope we can talk eventually again!

The port is pretty good, the SNES technical features (and limitations) were used pretty well on this port. Hope to see more from you on the future.

I didn't do much in terms of technical feats, though. It's all in the choice of samples. I'll tweak some volume settings before submitting it proper, right now I can't hear the trumpet at the beginning if I'm not using my headphones. #smrpg{gdi}

You won't need to wait for long then!

I realized today that I had one other port I was sitting on, the only other one I bothered finishing during my leave. It's a bit older, but it's still pretty good, I think.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Justice for All - Reminiscence ~ True Pain (what a mouthful)

I made it to go alongside my even older port of Steel Samurai's Ballad. 2-3 might not be my favorite case, but I always loved this song. I might do Scars Etched in Flame next, who knows.
Heh, so you're back huh; honestly, major props to you for doing that one Phoenix Wright port way back in the day IMO, the soundtrack in those games really needs to be ported more often (I, myself, really need to port more of it's soundtrack haha)

the Runescape port sounds really nice (tho I don't know the track, so it doesn't sound as appealing to me), but the Justice for All port kinda brings back some memories; this is the song that's played at the end of Case 3 right?
(when Acro confesses to what he did)
I don't remember much about JFA tho (never played it either, along with every other PW game actually haha), but I remember when this played at the playthrough series by MegamanNG that I was watching on Youtube, so I can tell when these tracks play somewhat lol

Either way, nice job on both of those! (seriously tho, I really need to port more PW songs, this series has a goldmine of great tracks)
