Okay, I have no idea what to explain this... (Windows 10 May Creators Update question)

Does it really mean that I had to remove any other USB devices such as the webcam and USB hub so it can complete the update regularly? Does this count?

Unlikely. If anything, my guess is that it's refering to any of the internal hardware (motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM etc.).
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
How old is your computer? RPG sounds about right on this one, I can't think of anything else that could get in the way of a Windows 10 upgrade.

But if your PC has outdated parts it could explain a lot.

I had this issue and BattlEye was causing this.
Go to Program Files (x86) / Common Files and then delete the folder BattlEye (just send it to recycle bin). You can restore it after the update is done.
If your computer meets the minimum requirements for Windows 10, which are:

- >1GHz CPU with PAE, NX and SSE2 support
- >2GB RAM
- >32GB Storage Space
- >800x600 display with support for DirectX 9
- a keyboard and a mouse

Then it's likely the problem isn't with the hardware itself but rather something else. Another thing you can try is to run the installation media separately from Windows just to see if it throws up any error regarding incompatibility. If it doesn't, it's likely the problem is somewhere else.

Now, whatever that other thing could be: I have no idea. Drivers, programs, files, I honestly don't know.
