Favorite Console?

Tough question, but an answerable question.

1) Gamecube
2) SNES
3) Wii
4) PS3
5) N64

I'm surprised how many people here consider the Wii U their favourite console. I have all Nintendo consoles since the SNES and in my opinion the Wii U is by far the worst. Not a single game I really love (My favourite probably being Hyrule Warriors, spent hundreds of hours in it). The controller is a pain. Everything is tied to it even if it's completely unnecessary. Always turned on even if I use the Pro Controller.

Anyway, my favourite would probably be the Gamecube. So many great games like Paper Mario 2, Mario Sunshine, Double Dash, F-Zero GX, Baten Kaitos and many more. I love collecting for that system and it's a piece of my childhood too. The controller is one of my all-time favourites: It just feels great.

The switch could become my new favourite: Absolutely awesome titles like Xenoblade 2, Mario Odyssey and Smash Ultimate. I love the concept: I play a lot on the go recently but enjoy playing on a big screen. The new Pro Controller is now supported by 99% of all Switch games and actually feels like a solid piece of hardware. I'm glad that Nintendo has done a console right again.

My favorites are the SNES, GBC and PS4.

SNES has always been good to me with there titles.

GBC games were pretty good for their time.

PS4 games are okay but I like there graphics and got hooked on certain titles that led to me liking the console.

Sega Saturn
The SNES has always been a personal favorite of mine since I got into gaming. My grandfather had one, and I have good memories of playing it as a child, and even going back to it now it has probably my favorite lineup of games out of any console I can think of with tons of variety and just great games in general (Super Mario World being my personal favorite game of all time, and Yoshi's Island, Link to the Past and Star Fox being among my favorites for the system).

But I also ended up picking up a Wii U last year (just because the systems and games are really cheap since the Switch released), and I gotta say I've had a pretty great time with it, not only because I do feel like despite not having much third party it has a solid lineup of Nintendo exclusives and indie games (Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Mario Kart 8, Smash 4 and Super Mario 3D World all being recent favorites of mine), and even with that aside can play games from almost every Nintendo console because of Wii BC + Virtual Console (not to mention the modding abilities).
My favorite is the 3ds and the second would be the snes, but to be honest i never had a snes, I played all of its games via emulation on my ps2 and pc
but my god what a awesome game library this console had.
At the time I only used my ps2 to play only 1 disc and it was snes station containing lots of snes games.

The 3ds is the winner because its was the second console i got it with my own money and my god I was surprised by how many great games it have, my favorites by far are Super Mario 3d land and the Ace attorney series, plus it also got some great wii/wiiu ports.
and you have acess to a massive game library if it is hacked.(including snes, sega genesis, nes,ds, gameboy advance and its own).
I even user my 3ds to this day to play smw hacks and specially to playtest my own hacks when I dont have acess to my pc.

And that is not by nostalgia googles included, because my first console was a polystation(a nes clone famous here in Brazil) and later I grew up with ps1 and ps2 which both have great libraries too but dont come close to the 3ds to me.

Thanks for playing and have fun!

I have 2 answers to this.

Console: SNES and N64. I can't choose between these two because it is simply a matter of sentiment vs value. I grew up with the N64 with some of my absolute favorite games being on the N64, but I sank so much time into the SNES that it's unfair to take a side. So it's a tie.
Handheld: GBA. There were some cult classics on this and I've been glued to the GBA far more than any other handheld. Easy call here.

STELLA!
Either the Gamecube or the Gameboy Advance. Most of my young video game memories came from Nintendo Consoles. Now using Emulators to play those Old favorite Games
Between consoles that I own, 3DS and Switch (not counting NES mini, because it's just ok), my favorite is 3DS. It has better portability and it's easier to pick games for. For switch I have only 3 games at the moment, while for 3ds i have whopping 10, and they all are pretty good games. Also i'm a bit nostalgic for it, playing DKCR when i bought it along with 3DS. good times.
I don't think it counts but I love my PC the most.

But anyways, I would have to say my Supaboy SFC for SNES, since it allows me to play SNES games anywhere I go and I can hook it up to the TV as well and I just love playing on it and holding it and its design!

The second Console I love the most would have to be the Switch, since I love how you can take the controllers off of the console and play like that, and the Switch has a great library of games too.

Ludwig and Flareon would make a cool team.
Probably the Wii. It was my first console and has a lot of great games, but with the homebrew channel I can play any SNES game I want including ROMHacks. That's pretty much the only thing stopping the SNES from being my favorite console.
I do not really have a 'favorite' console but if I had to choose I would take the Super Nintendo cuz Super Mario All Stars <3
SNES And Sega Genesis
SNES because intense nostalgia, and Switch because of being able to play it either as a console or handheld, and out of the recent gen consoles, the one with the most games I'm potentially interested in to justify buying the system. It also looks to be what the Wii U was trying to be but ended up falling short.

Here's something else that gets the SNES even more points: I recently finished setting up my WinAMP playlist with that pack of RSNs including the soundtracks to basically every SNES game ever, and I'm absolutely stunned by the fact that if I just shuffle through the tracks and load up something random I'll almost always find something really good, no matter how obscure or unknown it is. The N64 had a lot of great tracks as well, but I don't recall that system having nearly as successful of a hitrate for great tunes.

I guess PC would have to be an obvious second choice though.

N64, no contest. I even like its controller. I'd have liked for the 64DD to get released here, though...

Very close tie between the nostalgia-fest Nintendo Wii and the more recent discovery of the PlayStation's brilliance. Game Boy Advance would take the bronze medal and is my favourite dedicated handheld.
Also doesn't hurt that all three machines feature Klonoa games...
I think I already posted here but the SNES has probably the largest amount of games I beat at 62.

Follow ups in terms of me liking them, would probably be PlayStation and Saturn which, in the case of the latter, I haven't really beat that many games (22 and 12 respectively). The NES has like 34 games beat, but I dunno. I find it fascinating, but I can't call it one of my favorites.

PlayStation, I'm still in the middle of discovering, but I've played some good stuff.
Saturn, I haven't beat that many games outside of some of the ports' arcade originals, but it's a very good console despite its US and EU release.

I'm also warming up to the Wii.

Game Boy Advance was my first console iirc, and I have fond memories of picking up a half completed copy of Super Mario Advance second-hand quite early on. Not sure what the first game I played on it was, though. However, for nostalgia, my GBA was probably my favourite console.
