What's something that deserves a lot less hate than it gets?

Definitely agree with Conal: ZSNES doesn't deserve all of the hate it gets. If it's about something related to smwhacking or this site I'd also say Brutal Mario (or any other legacy/old/japanese hack).

Also, I feel that actually Windows 8/8.1 got more hate than Windows 10.

Super Mario Kart! Once you get passed the physics that are way different than any other MK game, it's actually super fun and I've found myself playing it for hours (I do practice speedrunning it but that's beside the point).

Windows 8 was a dumpster fire, but 8.1 was perfectly fine imo. Don't see much of a problem with it and the same goes to Vista if you have a computer with enough processing power.

That's the problem with Vista. There weren't very many PCs at the time that could handle Vista. At least, those that were affordable.

STELLA!
Furries are okay I guess

I really liked two Mario Kart clones that came out on the Gamecube, being Crash Nitro Kart and Pac-Man World Rally. I have some fond memories of playing those games for hours on end. I of course also enjoyed MK: DD.

I also enjoyed the DIC Super Mario cartoons, sue me
justin beiber & mumble rap. but i think most of that hate is dying down anyways.

Adam Sandler movies.
ask me if i give a f*ck...
Nickelback. Chad Kroeger's voice is an acquired taste I suppose but that shit oozes 2000s vibes I can't get enough of.
Furries and bronies, maybe.

Tip:
Here is an unpopular opinion.
Being a staff member and its actions in general (read: user management).

Personally I've never ran into this problem, but on another bigger site I work with I've seen it really effect some people to the point they send death threats and other horrible things to some of the current/former staff.

Now while you can laugh off some things initially, it gets to a point that you seriously question how their life got them where they are. You know a person is very unstable if getting banned from a site/forum makes that person suddenly dedicating their life to try to ruin the moderator's day with their temper tantrums or what have you.

It can be really funny on one hand, then you realize it gets sad. And then phase 3, it just gets depressing/possibly serious.

Thankfully this site is a good one and while we have passionate members, they won't at least get to the point where they send some admin real actual threats or being a legit creeper.

(This post got way more serious than I intended it to. Next time it will include more kittens)

I'd say Challenge of the GoBots, and the original GoBots in general, get a lot of hate even after their inclusion in the Transformers Multiverse. The show isn't as childish as I originally thought it would be simply based on the design of Scooter. There are some weak designs among the toys, but most of them are pretty solid.

Sticking to Transformers, I feel like the Unicron Trilogy gets too much hate, which is particularly aimed at the anime series. Granted, Energon, the second part of the trilogy, is pretty weak, particularly in the character department, but Armada and Cybertron are both decent despite the rushed translation in the former and character inconsistencies in the latter. When watching Cybertron, I considered it its own continuity because of how different many characters are from their Armada/Energon selves. The biggest offender of this inconsistency of character would be Hot Shot. In Armada, he was the hot-headed rookie kid-appeal character who matured over the course of the show. In Energon, he's a high-ranking officer and "all grown up." In Cybertron, though, he's back to being a rookie. To me, that would only make sense if Cybertron wasn't connected to Armada and Energon.
