Mario ignores layer 2

I tried to use layer 2 in one level but now layer 2 has no effect on Mario. He walks/jumps through objects in layer 2. Even in Levels I didn't touched. I searched for a fix but couldn't find anything.
I hope you can help me
edit: and I die by something invinsible. When I have layer 2 scroll, it's like a death wall moving from felt to right.
Is the level mode in #lm{MARIO69} set to 01? It has to be set to 02 for Mario to be able to interact with layer 2.



yes it is in level mode 02.
What patches are you using?
I only used bug fix patches. Nothing else.

Yes, because you don't have the scrolling settings correct. Layer 2 (with interactions on) is a very particular lady to please.
You need to click #lm{othprops} and set vertical scroll to none, and horizontal scroll to constant, as well as click #lm{MARIO69} and make sure "No Vertical Scroll" is selected.
Otherwise, nothing you do will work.
Also, layer 2 has limits.
I already have this settings. and as I said, original smw levels i didn't touched doesn't work too.

Have you all considered... trying the actual patches that he gave? Because I just did that and, yes, the issue does occur, through no fault of his own.

Anyway, a quick check (by applying patch by patch until the issue occurs) shows it to be the fault of the Layer 3 position fix patch. It occurs because the RAM address the patch uses by default is not initialized to 00. There's two easy fixes to this:
- Edit that address (the "!L3FixRAM" value at the top) to an empty RAM address that is set to reset at appropriate times (reset, overworld/level load, etc.)
- Manually clear the address via UberASM or a patch
