Is there a place for my hack?

I recently submitted my hack. It took me close to 2 years of work and I finally submitted it. It got rejected because my hack is technically an edit of the original. It was rejected with the tag "Lazy." I am not mad, I get the site has certain rules and standards. However, I worked hard starting with absolutely no ASM knowledge and I feel like I changed the game enough to bring a whole new experience to it. I made new dinosaurs and enemies, Luigi has his own look and mechanics, Toad is put throughout the game, levels have been reworked to either have new looks or fixed to prevent cheating, I designed a few brand new levels with new gimmicks. It's all SA1 and I have had to rework every patch and sprite myself to get the results I needed. I even went through and redesigned every character graphic in the game to clean them all up a bit. Again, it took me 2 years working practically every night to get the desired results and it was just labeled as "Lazy." What I want to know is there any other place where I can submit my hack where it will be accepted? If I can't find one, it's 2 years of my life pretty much wasted.

After taking a look at the moderation section I think you've vastly misunderstood this situation here. It just so happens that the person who moderated your hack goes by the name "Lazy", not that he was tagging or judging your hack as such. However just looking at the screenshots and the description from the hack before it was removed I can tell you that edits or add-ons to the original game aren't something most people care about or will give much attention. Its been extremely overdone and I think the hack section used to have a ton of those along with simple graphic edits and language translations before there was a remoderation (although I could be mistaken on this, its been a long time).

That isn't to say your work was entirely worthless, everyone starts somewhere. You seem to have a good base, and your description said you had original levels, so all you really need to do is build upon that and it'll get accepted for sure, and don't think its a problem to make something on the shorter side if that's what you can manage, a lot of people do that as well. Until then I believe you'll be perfectly fine to show off your work on the Work in Progress or Full Hack Releases sections.
Well thank you for clearing that up. I feel kinda stupid for misinterpreting the Lazy thing. I was pretty pissed. But yeah, I get that its not a completely original hack and I am happy to see that there is a place on this site where I can put it up. There is still a lot to this site I haven't figured out yet. But again, thank you.

Yeah Lazy is the name of the moderator. It wasn't a comment on the hack. Judging from the screenshot it looks like you've modified the graphics for most of the game. In my opinion, if you make an original hack with those graphics, a nice overworld and some good levels, your hack is more than welcome on the site. However not in the current state, since modification of the vanilla Smw are not accepted.
