Roaming Fiber

Well, I'm halfway done with both design and aesthetics, so I guess it's time to make a threads.

Hello! For this year, I'm making something using nets on layer 2. Here's a bunch of too large gifs:

This is looking really cool so far! The scrolling nets are an exremely clever idea.

youve got a lot of clever ideas here (the l/r scrolling net to get behind the thwomp to get the dragon coin is genius), but variable layer 2 can be a pretty scary gimmick to pull off given its non-euclidean nature. best of luck in the context!
I love the use of L and R scrolling for bonus items, like the Yoshi Coin. That basically shows that if you fully understand the gimmick early in the level, you will get rewarded for it. #tb{^V^}

I've always seen a lot of potential in Layer 2 scrolling as a gimmick, and it's always nice to see people make levels using it!
It does seem kind of scary to work with, as idol said, but you seem to have a good understanding of it!
And the use of nets is especially awesome and unique! It can certainly lead to very clever setups, i'm looking forward for the finished level!

Really unique, baffles me what people come up with in super mario world. Aesthetically pleasing and one of the coolest gimmicks I've ever seen.
Thank you all for your replies! I've been quite busy, what with school and all, so I could only post now. This level should hopefully be finished by tomorrow. In the meantime, here's some more shit:
And I'm finished!
Well, almost. I wanted to mess with the palette a bit more, but I'm submitting now just to make sure I'll submit in time, and perhaps get some feedback.
I hope you all will enjoy this level.
Haven't played the level yet, but the gimmick is superb and aesthetics, even despite the simple palettes, are also great. Wanna check it out!

EDIT: Now that you fixed your link, I decided to remove it from my post. I forgot to actually quote it, otherwise I'd keep it.
I have a Discord server as well! (by joining, you agree to the rules)

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

That gimmick with the layer 2 and the flipping nets is entirely new to me, and it's so clever. This looks like a fun level!

Hey, just posting here to let everyone know that I've made a small update to this (specifically, I did a bunch of changes to the palette).
