do you guys use neocities

it's a site where you can make your own website for free. you get 1 GB with the free plan and 50 GB for $5 a month.

it's based off of geocities, a web hosting service from the 90's

if you do, what's your site
funny
That's a sales pitch if I've ever heard one.

My portfolio site is http://c93.uk/ but I've stopped paying for hosting until I get back into website building.

I have tried it out once. The "community" aspect of it was kind of what prevented me from liking it though. Every time you update your site, it lists it on the site's "profile page" and people who follow your site can get notified of it. I assume there's probably a messaging system too but I haven't really delved that deep into it. This could be a bonus for other people though.

Updating your website is simple enough at least, you just need to make sure to only use allowed filetypes and bam, it's done. I guess it's useful if you're just making a simple static website with not much in it and you don't have alternatives.
Sounds like a nifty site for people who are interested in web design and development. I'm personally fascinated by computer sciences so who knows maybe I'll find a use for that someday.
