It looks great, especially the two types of plants there.
Good work, but how do you make the exanimation use more than 4 frames?
You always was able to animate more than four frames. However, you were limited to four frames per second. If you want to increase the amount of frames per second, you have use multiple slots because each ExGFX slot animates asynchronly (more specifically, each slot animates one frame later than the previous one) and split the animation in these slots (e.g. slot 0 only features frames 0, 8, 16 and 24, slot 1 1, 9, 17, 25, etc.).
Those blocks look like something straight out of a "Mario Mania" game of Super Mario World, so damn smooth. And those plant things are amazing, I'll give you $100 for two of them.
Those animations are mouthwateringly smooth! I'm not convinced you're not cheating by abusing the 2x zoom and moving things by half a pixel each frame.

I always thought that giving 60 fps animation in Super Mario World it could make the game asymptotically perfect considering the SNES graphics style and the 256x224 animation against the today games.

Now we just need to make Mario and all sprites have 60 FPS animations as well! \o/
