(don't mind the plant thingies)
I do pixels sometimes
That's some fluid animation! The water kind of looks like inchworms crawling around, though.
You have to tell how many frames these actually use.

Other Submissions of mine!
How can I possibly ignore the plant thingies? They're the most tantalizing part of the image.

The shading on the turn block isn't consistent throughout all the frames. And something's off about the water that I can't put my finger on except that's not how water moves.
These animations look so smooth!

Nice job!

The plant thingies look like tentacles. Some sort of monster hiding in the grass, perhaps?

And I agree how the water kind of looks like worms crawling around. It's smooth though, I'll give you that.
Just so you know, I'm very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now.
What's off about the water is that it shouldn't get perfectly straight. You should just make the waves move right and left rather than make they disappear and reappear.
The shading in the turn block now ticks me off too. Blame Noivern

Is it feasible to apply these to Super Mario World? Although I feel it's way too fluid to the point it would look off next to anything else in the game.
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
These look so smooth and goodddddd

About the water, I think it's that there are places where the waves don't go in. You could improve SMW's original water tiles instead, but I don't know how waves work *shrug*

I can't see any issue in the turn block's shading though.

C'mon, man, I try my best.

Well, this received more attention than I expected.

I think I fixed the water now.

About the Frames, both the Question Block and the Turn Block are using 16 frames each, the water uses 8 frames
I do pixels sometimes
I'm still not convinced by the water. What I meant is that I don't think the waves should move up and down at all, just sideways with a fixed peak height.

Oh, I already did that, everyone on a certain server I frequent agreed that it looked really weird that way.

I think it's water. I think the problem is since we're so used to seeing SMW water being just straight that we forget that's not how water actually works. SMW water in general is weird.

I do not consider the water's animation that weird... in my perception. The plant things, though... reminded me of a stage in that hack, "Call of Cthulhu" or something, in that stage inside some monster's innards.

The turn and question blocks' animations were more fluid than usual. They look good! I would suggest to you a more fluid coin animation, following this line. A muncher one would be good too.

Dream team (feed them, please):

These animations look so smooth, anon. I wondered why nobody has done something like this before.

Yeah, the water animation looked weird. You could just barely variate the waves length and make the water move like SMW's original water. Also the turn block shades aren't very consistent.

But yes, these animations look good. I would like to see the coin, muncher, note block, castle stairs, midpoint, ropes and line-guide end. Not requesting them, just if you feel like you could do them.

Those fluid animations made me realize how used I am to the poor 7.5 fps SMW's animations...

Good work by the way :P

So smooth lol.

The original water did look a bit weird IMO, but the new one looks just fine.

+1 to doing the muncher too.
could it be? ...Chaotic Chronicles? is that you?
I agree with the comments above. Your animations look very smooth and fluid (and are decent to look at too). Sometimes little details like such animations can make a hack far better than an other (or it at least is more likely to stay in mind because of such things). Thanks for your amazing work! #smw{:TUP:}

that turn block makes me feel things down there
