It's me, I'm in charge. Still the OP, years later. #ab{8-)}

Speaking of Halloween, is this gonna be the very first year (excluding when there were no Halloween events before) when the Halloween event didn't happen on this site at all? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Who knows?

I'm headed to Reykjavik, Iceland this Friday. Booked tours for the usual Icelandic hotspots like The Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle, black sand beaches, waterfalls, etc.

We'll have some free time in the city though. Anyone been to Reykjavik and if so what places do you recommend checking out in the city?

Never been to Iceland but as a LazyTown fan (yes yes, I know), why don't you take a gander at what used to be the studios?

Also the stadium of the national football team of Iceland could be nice too.

If you dont have a car I'd recommend making a day out of taking one of the tour buses, getting off at all the stops and checking everything out. It highlights all the stuff you're going to want to see (the church, the concert hall, the other church, some other things i forget), but yeah you're definitely going to want to go to and climb the super tall church. The view is tremendous.

Other then that tho everything to check out is on one long road. On Fridays they have a bunch of weird art installation stuff to check out (or that might've been a summer thing). All the shops and bars and stuff are on one long road you can just walk down and check out. The night life is unreal, be sure to check it out.

There are free shuttles to their two malls, and I mean idk, they're alright. There was nothing there for me, but it would be a fun way to kill an afternoon I guess.

Dont go to the zoo, it's horrifically depressing.

There's a bunch of tours on the pier they offer. Whale watching is pretty boring but there's a trip to a puffin island that could be fun.

There's phenomenal street art on every wall so be sure to just walk around and check it all out.

Also dont act like a tourist, they get enough obnoxious tourists every day so just be cool and treat them with respect and you'll be fine.
I might be forgetting stuff but yeah just walk around and check everything out. The other big thing is that the entire city basically shuts down at 5, aside from the restaurants and the bars. So if you want to get ur shopping in make sure you do it before then (also be prepared to spend a lot of money!)

You're a very irresponsible sheriff
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
Thanks for the info. And yea everyone I’ve spoken to concurs, Iceland is expensive, so ready to drop some dough.
the further away you go from Reykjavik, the cheaper things get. i found the same windbreaker i almost bought in the city for $150 at a gas station on the other side of the island for $20 #smrpg{haha}

literally who?
I finally made my 5000th post here after 11 years but i didn't pay attention to my postcount and it's locked in the staff forums forever. I was just trying to give IMPORTANT STAFF OPINIONS to a thread in there lol.
It's okay, milestone posts are overrated.

How things have changed. I remember when you'd actually pay attention to your postcount, even during a spree on other boards.

😔
It's okay, Noivern is just salty he spent his 7000th post on a Forum Game #wario{:peace:}
I'm close to my 8k and I still don't know what to do. Not that I care as much about milestones as I did back then but 🤷

The only reason it's funny to me is because I was on track to hit it around 2013 or so but then I left staff in late 2012 and basically went inactive. It's taken six years to do the last couple hundred posts needed to hit that old milestone.
At the rate I'm going nowadays, it'll take me another 10 years to hit 4000. #tb{''}

Also doesn't help that my city took a hurricane to the FACE recently. As far as I know all my friends and family made it through, though, so I'm glad for that.
