I learned the existence of Bowsette, the legendary new diva born from Nintendo.
You can read about her here.

What do you think about Bowsette? Is she cool?
Tell me your thoughts.

I challenge anyone at the SMWCentral to draw SNN with Super Crown calling him SNNete.
I HATE her! I just don't know what the deal is and why the heck she is so popular!

I mean, she originated from a simple comic. What about her caused her to blow up on the Internet, and why does other stuff not blow up?

Click the character on the right side of my layout to visit my Discord server and discuss and play and look at and get updates and sneak peeks of the games and other things I'm making.

The authors of these 2 My Little Pony fan games have removed their games from the Internet.

"Ultimate Diva"

Actually no, She is just the "Girl/Waifu" of the month, then she should be forgotten in a few days or weeks like the other ones
Thoughs? Well her design is just peach with a black dress and horns, And make sence since the crown turns you into Peach, And if you mean the "Original one" it's ok tho
I just don't understand the name. Bowsette would mean Toadette + Bowser since Peachette is Toadette + Peach. Bowsette (the name) =/= Peach + Bowser.

The design...eh. As said, it's basically just Peach with a black dress and horns. Whatever.

IMO she should have red hair. Otherwise I love her.
I really like the concept of a full-on transformation powerup like the Super Crown, and I can't say the results aren't, uh, visually appealing. (Pretty sure I saw the original comic on the day it was published, too, so this is a meme I actually witnessed the birth of. yay)

The "misuse" of the naming scheme is a little unfortunate, but it's a lot easier to add "-ette" to names than it is to add "Peach-", so I get that.

That's the thing with internet attention; it's nearly unpredictable and can come from wherever. It might just as well not have been a meme, but here we are.

She could just be called "Princess Bowser"
I don't wanna be a Flopping Cheep-Cheep, so I became something else instead. Wait, I don't want to be a Terrapin either. -_- Whatever, I'll just stick with a Flopping Cheep-Cheep.

She typically is called that in Japanese: "Koopa-Hime"
I searched her in Google images and all I can say is... just... DON'T!
cant wait for this meme to end
I don't either understand all that Bowsette hype. Unlike Toadette who appeared in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe's trailer, Bowsette is just an OC created for a comic that suddenly drew attention of weebs. Someone even made a version of her with red hair and bigger breasts. And yeah, I admit I saw this one, too!

As for that unfortunate name choice, "Bowsette" sounds better than "Bowseach", "Peachser" or even "Powser". None of these names are catchy, yet they make sense.

Bowsette is even more popular than Toadette probably due to her "sex appeal". She's just basically Princess Peach with horns and a black dress. Not enough to make her completely different from Princess Peach. I don't mean her design isn't good, I mean it's overrated. What fandom does with her is absolutely mind-blowing.

I find that this thing will become one of the memes that'll die relatively quickly.

That is some incredible insight! Couldn't have said it better myself! I never actually understood this crap ever since the beginning!
In all honesty, I think the whole Bowsette/Princess Bowser phenomenon was quite intriguing. Yes, I agree with y'all that it was a fad and that currently it's on life support and how much of the fanart (at least the most visible) is straight up lewd, but...they way the comic just came out of nowhere, how most art started with edits of that same comic, how western artist gave it a shot and how people from japan jumped on the ship and went bonkers over a Super Mario fan character was nothing short of perplexing.

I mean, Bowsette for all intents and purposes is just Bowser but with Peach's body and some of his features glued over hers. At no point in time I would've believed such a simple concept was going to explode the way it did to the point Pixiv (the japanese equivalent to DeviantArt for those who don't know) would get flooded with her, to the extent she got twice as many fanart Peach has ever gotten all this time in the span of 3 weeks, especially considering that the concept of an evil Peach is not exactly new nor hasn't been done before.

The answer to your doubts is pretty simple and maybe even somewhat dissapointing: https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/414/221/9ab.jpg

>Is antagonistic and mean, but in a dorky endearing way

In simple words, Bowsette (and most people call her like that because things like Peachowser just don't sound OK) is just Peach but as a monster girl with Bowser's personality instead of Peach's pure maiden/princess persona. How lewd she may be differs bewteen artists, but tons of fanart frecuently involves her doing things Bowser would usually do. Mostly. I'm not a fan of the art that breaks character for the sake shipping/porn/cute.

She was a fad that came and went, but if there's something good I can rescue about the whole thing was how it motivaded me to get into SMW hacking again just for the sake of drawing her in SMW style. It IS a silly reason, but it's a reason nonetheless. i also made a quick romhack whose entire point was that she's in it but that's neither here nor there.
Tbh, most Mario characters are hella bland and don't have a proper personality, and the only one (at least IMO) that does have proper personality (outside of spinoffs anyway, where most of the ones who don't have proper personailties get a bit fleshed out) is, well, pretty much only Bowser. Most straight people who do like Mario only had a choice of super bland princesses that don't do anything outside of just being... there, which is sad really, because some of the princesses, especially Peach, have proven that they can do a lot more than just being damsels in distress.

So, since people were already bored out of their minds out of those characters already, Bowsette was actually one of the things that a lot of people wanted since the very beginning; I mean, you have Bowser, which is already super loved, and then you combine him with Peach's body, and you have what's probably the the greatest waifu bait in Mario history. And tbh, I'm fine with that; Bowsette was pretty much a breath of fresh air to most people, including myself, so lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

On the 18th of September there was Toad, and then the day after it there was Bowsette. The internet is truly an interesting place.

I mean, it's kinda weird how she became popular just because of a comic. At one point she got trending on Twitter and got like 1M tweets with the hashtag #クッパ姫. I don't think even the artist themselves could've predicted it, but the internet works in weird ways.

That said, I sort-of see how she became so popular. Peach and Daisy are mostly standard and boring when it comes to character. Meanwhile, Bowsette is supposed to inherit some of Bowser's traits like being evil or at least having a more defiant/chaotic nature and being more assertive/smug. My best guess is that people really like how she breaks away from the formula.

And since in the original comic, her appearance was strictly tied to Mario and Bowser both being rejected by Peach and Bowser turning into a more attractive Peach to solve their sudden loneliness, I think it all combined to make a character that's great for lewding, specially with all the differing interpretations of her. But now this is going into TMI territory.

I mean, it's a funny idea, too; why capture a princess when you can just be one?

There's no way she'll ever be canon, and if she did I would be very concerned about Nintendo and their decisions. But, as a fan-made character? Sure. I'm waiting for the day the meme dies down too, but I don't think the character will disappear so soon. too bad this one's not getting as much attention...
I wouldn't necessarily refer to Bowsette as the "Ultimate Diva", per se. I'd say she's more of just a humorous fan character that gained popularity almost instantly from the original poster of the comic. I will admit, it is pretty funny. However, internet memes are usually known for running the jokes into the ground until it's not funny anymore, so it's one thing to keep in mind. Such is the fate of internet fads.

As for my own opinion on her, I'm neutral against Bowsette. I don't love her, but I don't exactly hate her, either. Just don't expect me to have an avatar of Bowsette anytime soon. I might in the near future when I get an avatar that randomizes a bunch of pictures, but in the meantime, I won't use a picture of her. Try to guess how many times people badgered or mocked me for not using Bowsette as my Halloween avatar...

Don't expect Nintendo to make Bowsette canon. Or even make a reference to it. That way, if they for some reason do make a shout-out to it or make it canon, it's more of a pleasant surprise.
Just so you know, I'm very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now.

The fad is already dying off. At least, compared to the chaos that was the first few days. The first few days of the fad had Twitter, Pixiv and many different image Boorus be flooded with absolutely nothing but pictures of Bowsette. But at the moment, things have gotten far tamer. I still see some pictures of her here and there, but not nearly as many.
...This has got to be one of the memes that the internet most quickly ran into the ground, though. I swear memes back 10 years ago used to be relevant for much longer. God knows how long "Over 9000", Rick Rolling and umnecessary U.N. Owen was Her references were popular for, but it definitely felt like years. We are, like, 2 weeks into Bowsette and she already seems so passé.
As for my opinion on Bowsette herself... not a fan. The sheer overexposure she had in the first few days didn't exactly do wonders to my opinion on her either. I just don't really tend to like the flavour of the month waifus. The last one I liked was Tomoko Kuroki from Watamote and that was 5 years ago already.

Ive been fairly negative about the whole Bowsette/rule 63 bowser fad because of the fact that it is overexposed to the point of getting its own convention purely to fanserve those who like the meme/make content out of it as if that would make the meme come crashing down harder and faster than most memes.

The lengths of which fans can go sometimes is astonishing. Id argue that memes that are good (if any exist) would be more carefully managed in their use which can make their appeal last longer but this is straight-up just overflowing the water closet.
