TotMK Graphics Showoff 2: Electric Boogaloo

...What? You were expecting level design from me? TOO BAD, MORE GRAPHICS FOR MY HACKS!

Link; too big for this thread.

First, we have a light forest set. I've put this set aside for a while, but at least I got some good progress on it. The version right here is the "haunted autumnal" palette swap, complete with a spooky face peeking out!

Secondly, in case none of you peeked at my thread (which to be honest, I don't blame you), I completed this prehistoric mountain tileset, foreground and background, complete with HDMA.

Link, still too big. Don't want no stretching.
Thirdly, the next prehistoric tileset I'm working on is a jungle. I actually like these leaves a lot better than the ones in the forest tileset above.

So here's a futuristic-styled level with a familiar tileset, only here, I added electricity. It's not much, but I may as well show what I've been doing the past 6 months.

Link, also too big
This tileset is my most recent work, having been drawn a few days ago: A "medieval" tileset, taking place at a grassland, similar to the Crash Bandicoot 3 levels.

And finally, since I've got nothing else new to show, I may as well show off a thing I finished last 6 months: This desert set.

Alright, there. That'll do for my C3 entry. Will I have levels to show off next time? ...Nah, it'll just be more graphics because I can't even be arsed to get all the other resources I need. #w{=P}
Just so you know, I'm very active on the site anymore like I was before; I'm mainly on Discord now.
So you drew all these yourself? That's actually really solid work! Didn't know you were this artsy.

Not too much of a fan of the medieval tents and the uneven garlands, but I really like that leaf texture and the desert ground. The desert palettes especially are super delicious. #tb{:)}

Those look amazing, Falconpunch. My favorites are the forest, desert, and prehistoric sets. I look forward to more.
Quintesson Judge: Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!
Hot Rod: I have nothing but contempt for this court!
- Transformers the Movie (1986)
An overall outstanding job. These will make great use!
I like these graphics. The colors are perfect, especially for the volcano BG. Unnatural sky colors look good to me when paired up with the right scene. Details are very good too, as well as the animations. Only complaint is the lavafall foreground "BG?". There's a rather sharp transition at the edges and the way it's used here looks as if it's kinda tacked onto the level.

Yes! Well, I had a bit of help from Magiluigi involving a couple of objects (namely, the medieval tent (which still needs a bit of work) and the leaves in the forest), as well as the people on the #showoff channel on the Discord pointing out a bit of flaws earlier. But, for about 99% of the time, it was handdrawn by myself.

Also, I'm glad you love the desert! It's probably one of my most well-drawn sets. #smrpg{<3}

Thanks! The forest isn't quite done yet, but I'll hopefully finish it as well as many other sets (and some levels) by next C3! #smrpg{y}

Wow, I'm glad you love the primitive mountains set! I thought that a very unnatural sky color would fit for this era, to add in a sense of how you're veeeeery far back in time. Turns out it pulled off that effect quite well! As for the lavafalls, unfortunately I ran out of graphics space and I only had about 5 tiles to work with just to make that thing. I tried, and I can at best add about 1-2 more tiles by replacing near-identical lavafall 8x8 tiles. I'm not sure if it's enough to make the lavafalls look more smooth...

Overall you are getting better at the art of the pixels. Will love to see more of what you will draw in store.
Modern Redrawn Mario Bros. 1.5 (last update - February 14, 2023, some new bonus frames, tons of minor touchups to various poses)

On Pixel Art Requests: Depends on what it is and if I have the time for it. If its complex and I don't have the time, don't expect me to accept it.

Projects I support:

holy crap fp thats goddamn amazing! #smw{:TUP:}
The lava waterfall one is my favorite.

(also, what does electric boogaloo have to do with this lol)

And a many thanks to you as well! It's good to know a good guy I've played Minecraft and Team Fortress 2 with a bit is aware of how much I've been drawing these past years. #smrpg{y}

Glad you like the lava falls. Also, as I explained the joke on Discord:
It was because of how "Electric Boogaloo" is some overused title to go with to sequels to... well, anything.

Oh, and here's an update on those tents everyone keeps complaining about. Now the damned tent meme can die as the meme that would never come to be.

Wonderful graphics you have here! If I had to pick a favourite, I'd probably say the lava BG/FG is my jam.
Good job! #tb{:DD}
I´m really amazed by your graphics. They are excellently made. If i had to pick a favourite, it would be the light forest set. I really like the atmosphere you create with it.

Keep up the good work #smw{:TUP:}

Thanks a lot, Wakana! I'm glad you like that set as well. #smrpg{<3}

You'll be happy to know that I just finished up the light forest foreground. Check it out here!

I like the prehistoric mountain tileset. The overall tone is pretty consistant.
Receiving?
Well, C3 may be over, but I'll at least show off one more thing I've got to show, and I just made it yesterday in the span of three hours.

It's a sky background which slowly transitions to an almost spacey theme. I'll be planning on using this in a specific area in my hack, in an area that takes place high in the skies.

Anyway, that's all I've got for C3. Thanks for viewing my thread, and see you next time! #smrpg{<3}

The tilesets on display here are incredible, and could see itself in a commercially released game. It's just that good.

The forest set is easily my favorite, but a great case can be made for the multi-day phases of the desert and the gorgeous starry sky. I'd normally try and critique some stuff, but it's really on an entirely different level; you should be giving me pointers!
