We've heard your outcries, and because of that, we've decided to take action. I am hereby glad to announce to you, the return of

IP: mc0.caffie.net | Dynmap: http://minecraft.caffie.net/dynmap/mc0/
To join the server, you must verify yourself on our Discord.
Connect to the CaffieCraft server for more information.

CaffieCraft makes its grand return with a brand new server running on Spigot 1.12.2. We've included a few useful plugins to help make the experience better for each and every single player on the server. These plugins include:
● DiscordSRV, a Minecraft/Discord bridge, modified by Telinc1 for our needs
● Dynmap, which creates a web-accessible live map
● Essentials, a well-known plugin which provides many useful commands
● WorldGuard, which allows us to protect the world and the dungeons that are hidden throughout

To ensure that the server is safe, you have to verify yourself with a Discord bot, Blockhead, who may be found in #caffiecraft, #gaming, and #bot, before you can play. Join our Discord and connect to CaffieCraft for further information.

Every player gets only one home to use. The /sethome command should be used somewhere in your base. You can later return to that position with /home. You're free to use /sethome anywhere out in the open field, but do note you'll only make it harder for yourself to get back. You may also use the /spawn or /warp spawn command to get back to our spawn town.

To prevent the game from becoming too easy, teleportations will always commence in 3 seconds given you do not move or get attacked. If you do move or get attacked, the teleportation will be canceled and you'll have to get to safety or not move at all. This should prevent escaping death from things such as lava or high altitudes.

A player's biggest fear is losing their valuable items to lava pits, cacti, or explosions. Telinc1 has coded a special plugin that keeps all your lost items in a chest. All the items in the chest can be retrieved by either left or right clicking on it. The chest it spawns will disappear after you get your items and cannot be opened by anyone else. Of course, you're free to discard your items if you feel the game is too easy.

The Minecraft chat will be relayed to the #caffiecraft channel on our Discord server. This channel can also be used to directly chat with the players on CaffieCraft.

Our rules are all listed in-game with the /rules command, but to sum it all up it all comes down to the following:
● No account sharing
● No griefing/stealing
● No cheating/hacking
● Build at least 3 chunks (48 blocks) away from spawn
● PvP is not allowed unless two or more people agree to fight each other
● No big redstone clocks or farms
● No exploiting bugs or oversights

Any bugs you may find should be reported to @CaffieCraft OP on Discord. Any general issues you may encounter such as your base being destroyed or someone being generally unpleasant should be reported to @CaffieCraft Staff.
Is this PE compatible? v1.2.9
No, it's Java edition only.

PM Devann if you're interested in bedrock edition stuff, I think he was planning to put something together.

Can anybody make a cracked version of CaffieCraft, beacuse i only have the cracked version.
If you're on Firefox 70+, and you don't see the blur effect, go to about:config and enable layout.css.backdrop-filter.enabled and gfx.webrender.all
For the best aesthetics, use Chrome, or with some settings, Firefox.

Colour scheme based on the awesome ViM theme, Gruvbox.

No. You'll need to purchase a copy of Minecraft in order to play on CaffieCraft. There's no way around it.
Cracked Minecraft is, technically speaking, illegal. Cracked servers are not supported by Mojang or Spigot and are almost impossible to manage since anybody can log in with any username.

We may be a hacking community but let's not condone piracy of modern games which are still actively developed. A cracked version of CaffieCraft, while not strictly against the EULA, could get the server blocked. It's the same with unreasonable donation prizes and unofficial capes.
CaffieCraft has been doing rather well for its first few weeks and ofcourse we are looking to keep it that way.

In order for the server to stay relevant to people, a fun and unforgettable experience is a necessity. We can't do this without your help. We would like to ask you what you would like or want to see on the server and why, without changing the way the game is originally played (e.g. McMMO alters the game too much, we will not include this).

Also, if we were to accept donations for the server, would you donate? If yes, how much? We want to know for any future decisions we might take.

I certainly would. I'm active enough on the server to have the urge to donate $5.00, especially for the cosmetic features a donor gets.

I have some suggestions for what could be added to the server.

There's not enough /warp locations to discover. Maybe add more for easier access to places like the villager trade podium, parkours, public services (like enchant tables), and featured player's bases. Really, anything that cuts down traveling time will do.

Since there's no economy as far as dragon coins go, how about something like Chest Shops? It could be nice to have unneeded items to sell (perhaps in spawn), and the money may be used to buy things that players may have a hard time finding. Also give players access to create chest shops of their own.

Since the scoreboard isn't being used for anything, there can totally be events that occur each week (like mine the most coal, kill the most zombies, catching fish, etc. if this is possible). The top player gets a reward/prize when it ends. The scoreboard can be used to see the progress of current players.

I agree with establishing warps for peoples' towns (probably NOT individual bases so as to incentivize people actually joining up into groups), because it's been shown at least once that making massive railroads to connect these places would not be the smartest of ideas.
I'm down to donate in an easier fashion than through Kieran's German Paypal clone, so there's that too.

I like this idea. Originally, I had set up warp points for every building at spawn, but it was decided that it's unnecessary. I'll discuss with the staff which places require warp points. We're also thinking of setting up a warp to the end portal in your base so that everyone can get to it easily, not just the people living there.

Dragon coins are used for a lot of the villagers at spawn, including ones which guide you to dungeons. That being said, we're currently planning new shops and I personally think dragon coins are underused. The idea of player shops is good, especially considering how much people trade items.

The scoreboard technically is being used by a lot of the dungeons, but after all, it's made to support a lot of different objectives. This idea is very feasible and would be rather easy to do. I'm just not sure about putting the stats in the sidebar since it could get distracting. Above player name tags is the only other decent place because the tab list is already used to display a death counter (which could honestly die).
McMMO doesn't really change the game that much. But... who am I to judge? Good server anyways. Willing to sacrifice my McMMO for it.

The Ender Dragon is eagerly awaiting our arrival in her dimension, how about we all pay her a little visit this weekend?

Problem is, we don't know which day we want to pick. That's where you all chime in.

Please fill out this poll and pick the day that works best for you. The entry with the most votes wins and will be the day for the event.
Request: Adding these two plugins for backwards compatibility to 1.9.
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/viaversion.19254/
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/viabackwards.27448/

I previously DMed Telinc1, but I decided that I should probably post this suggestion here, as it's more proper.
Before I explain my reasoning, I'm going to be clearing up some things. Telinc, contrary to what you pointed out, the plugin page saying this will break plugins that aren't for 1.12, this is false. I tested it myself, and it appears to work just fine with CoreProtect.
Now, one last thing before I get started. ViaVersion was linked just because ViaBackwards requires it. That's all. So if you're looking at its page and wondering why I want it, that's why. Plus, ViaVersion is quite nice to have since it has features even 1.12.2 servers can use, like a packet limiter. Additionally, let's say 1.13 comes out, but ViaBackwards hasn't updated yet. No problem. ViaVersion is very actively updated, so you can update it around a day after 1.13 Spigot comes out, and allow 1.13 clients on the server. Then, when ViaBackwards updates, you can update the server and the transition from 1.12.2 to 1.13 would be flawless, without dropping any compatibility for 1.13 or other versions! The only problem is that the server would only support the use of things in 1.12.2... but 1.13 users could connect to the server. If you want to get 1.13's features as soon as it's available, without waiting, I'd totally be fine with you removing ViaVersion and ViaBackwards until they were updated for 1.13.
And if you're worried about lag, don't. On my test server, ViaBackwards and ViaVersion had basically no impact on performance at all, the server constantly kept its cool. And this test was hosted on my own PC with some basic stress tests for normal gameplay like loading chunks. And do keep in mind that my PC is 4 years old and is slowly getting worse. It's likely weaker than Kieran's PC, so this should prove my 'no lag' case. Plus, what harm can there be in trying? If there's lag, you can remove it.

Now, would backwards compatibility change anything for users on 1.12.2? No. Adding ViaVersion+ViaBackwards doesn't change gameplay at all for people playing on 1.12.2, all blocks, items, and mobs function exactly as they should, and gameplay mechanics are exactly the same.
Why backwards compatibility? There are a few reasons.
The first, and most simple being, if it doesn't harm the server and allows more players to connect, why not add it?
My second reason would be the launcher itself. The launcher has been known to be very finnicky sometimes, I know a person who is absolutely unable to install 1.12 at all because the launcher just isn't working for him. People like him could play on Caffie with no issues. I think it's unfair that a player who is blocked by the launcher would be unable to play such a good server like Caffie.
Third and final reason for now. As the game updates, the FPS for people slowly gets worse with each update. This cannot be avoided, and people with potato computers eventually cannot update. Adding this would allow people with that old, dusty computer to play on the server with a better FPS. Let's be honest, nobody likes lag, and letting the less fortunate reduce their lag a little would certainly show Caffie cares for its players.

I'm writing this at 1:33 AM. I'm tired, so if you have any questions or if I got excessively vague about anything, let me know and I'll be sure to respond. Thanks for reading my suggestion and I hope to hear back from your thoughts on backwards compatibility.
Before I go, I almost forgot something. If you want to keep track of backwards compatibility usage, install this:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/clientstats-bukkit-spigot.24329/
It is not required, but it's there if you want to see who's using different versions.

Now, when you add this, you will have a user already, and that would be me! I use 1.9.4 when I can, as my game runs very smoothly on it, but I get FPS fluctuations and lag spikes in 1.12.2. They happen just often enough to annoy me, but on 1.9.4, it's completely smooth sailing, no lag, no freezing, nothing for me. Anyways, enough of my babbling. I'll be back when I'm more awake to revise this post as I see fit. I can be hard to understand when tired, so if I am, look forward to my edits soon..

The only day that could be a problem for me is Friday. Saturday and Sunday are both fine to me (I voted Saturday).

Probably going to be the only one to go to The End with enchanted leather armor of all things (it has good enchants, man).
Here's another suggestion:
https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/1-12-harvest.18153/

Right click to harvest and replant a crop block automatically. Simple ease-of-life plugin.

https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/treeassist.16941/
Another plugin that's ease-of-life. Makes leaves decay much faster. Also includes an option in the config to make breaking the bottom log fell the whole tree, although you can disable that.

Time's up, votes coming in from now on will no longer count. The end result is as follows:

The event will take place on saturday at 6 PM EST / 12 AM CET
We have decided to make a last minute change. To make the event convenient for more people, it will now take place at 7:30 PM EST (an hour and a half later), which should be 1:30 PM CET (unless I can't do arithmetic).

Edit: 13:30 AM CET. I'm an idiot confirmed.
Is the CaffieCraft seed available?

Unfortunately no. Access to a seed can be easily exploited to find strongholds, slime chunks, rare biomes, and even specific deposits of ore. The dynmap (http://minecraft.caffie.net/dynmap/mc0/) can be used to see what's been found, though.
