So if an entry has multiple "endings", does that technically mean that there are more than two exits (even of some of them are "bad" endings)?

Define "endings".
Like, ways of ending the game through special means. Think Clock Tower, where the bad endings usually involve a trap, and the good endings involve the finale of the game in some way. If you want me to get technical, I was planning of having two endings for both the normal goal and secret exit. The rest are best avoided (but are worth watching if you're into bad or even joke endings)

I already have a backup plan if this isn't allowed, so yeah.

would be nice, but we do not know if it's allowed.
That just sounds like a way to sidestep the two exit rule. If I have to play your level four times to get each of four different endings then I'd say that still falls afoul of the rule even though they're not technically exits.

It really depends on the context. If two of the four endings are just stylized death screens, then you're good. If all four are given equal weight, then no.

Hence the asking.
yup.
so what if some dude was working on his hack for 2 years and then finally finished a hack and then submitted in this contest and was like....... yep I did it just for this contest. is dat okay?
i did something similar for one of the past choco contests so i would assume yes

If you're saying what I think you're saying, then I would highly suggest just making something new for the contest. Kinda takes all the fun out of it otherwise.
There's not a rule for that in this contest. (I'd argue it's common sense but whatever)

But honestly if you'd never shown off anything in your entry before the contest started and then you submitted it... how could we even prove that the entry was made before the contest?
Here's how I see it: if you want to be an asshole towards everyone who worked under the given deadline and win ilegitimately, possibly leaving a sour taste in your mouth and ruining your feeling of accomplishment, then go ahead.
As if he has any shame. This is not the first time he's asked if it's okay to exploit something (lol)
It's easily the best thing I've done
So why the empty numb?
asking for permission to pretend you made a level for the contest is kind of missing the point of pretending you made the level for the contest

now even if you do submit a new level, why would anybody believe you? You just said you're gonna lie about it, so you probably are. Congrats for gaining the system for an advantage, if you worked on this level for two years and dont get first that's gonna be pretty embarrassing lol
ask me if i give a f*ck...

There's nothing wrong with exploiting rules, but if someone has to ask they probably aren't very confident in being an avatar of chaos anyway.
Very very very shortly, this drab, workaday world and everything in it will be changed forever! Follow us into the golden country, into the empire of the senseless!
I think I might join this contest this year. I do have a level in mind.

the deadline has been extended until march 11th, 23:59 pt.

11:59 P.M. Pacific Time?
Yes, Lespna

I was just wondering, but is Raocow or anyone going to play the levels on YouTube and if he can't get past my level, will that affect the judging? I tested it, and it might be kind of hard, but if you be patient and take your time, it's possible to finish it. I'm not sure if I should change the last room and try to put a boss.
Levelengine might play the levels considering he's done all the previous years. I doubt Raocow will though. His schedule for this year is pretty much already planned out.
