That would be the OW demo, yes.
It's merely a OW showcase so to save up on space (and also the spritetool carol used apparently ran like shit on his computer) only the OW ASM is in it so while the layouts are in, most of the ASM is not.
I've thought about making a compiled version of the released demos (7, 7.5, OW, boss, demoOnly1, 1-1, with mazo included as an extra a la Anikiti and A2MT's password protected zips) by disassembling the demos' code (+ optimizing and rewriting the spotlight room ASM on Bowser's Castle) and whatnot but I'm not sure if carol would be okay with that (also it seems like quite the undertaking!). Just to make playing through the updated stages + Vivian's Shops more convenient for hack players, basically.
I'd have it end at Rescue Yoshi with an End of Demo stage (with mazo's password) replacing the first Mushroom Kingdom stage (the stage at the other side of the pipe in W8 would be a Wendy lava trap lol).
I'd of course have no issues giving carol the compiled ROM and resources to work with if it'd help him advance his work more easily.
Blame Tobi's A2MT edit for the inspiration.
Also I kinda wanted to bring attention to a pretty cool Kaizo: Light hack, SUPER (す~ぱ~) by Wagokoro.
The issue is, it's in Zandro's hack archive. It used to be on Uploader X before Akaginite started hosting it but it's not archived on the Wayback Machine.
So I don't know if they'd be okay with me linking it.
If you do find it just know the following:
The pufferfish stage (フグのさしみ) has a secret exit leading to the blue switch,
and the lava stage (ようげんのどうくつ)
is possible, just extremely precise. I had to beat it with slowdown to keep my jumps from screwing me over.
It's pretty short, 24 stages long. The 7 worlds are about 3 levels long for the most part (+ the NO
MAI SWITCH NO
BUY CLEAR gatekeeper stage and the credits beyond it).
