I'm Ben and I would like to present my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWItRt_PUBN-Bhkb0AdmdWQ

The channel is around one year old, got around 700 videos by now and is about fan made (or "self-made") Mario and Nintendo games. My focus are SMW ROM hacks but any fan-made game is welcome.

I hope the creators or authors of their work are feeling respected. I haven't run in any trouble yet (besides from taking down a video or two, because the creator asked me for it). I'm simply impressed with the creativity of some people and I respect their hard work! If you feel otherwise, please let me know!

My bucket list for the channel:

* Let's plays (in English but I'm not a native English speaker so this will be interessting)

* Compilations (for instance hacks released in 2017 etc.)

* Video interviews with the people behind those hacks

* Creating a hack by myself (and capturing every moment of it)

Any critic, feedback or suggestions for improvement is welcome!

(This is my first and last "advertising" and I didn't know where to write it down nor if it's allowed - Sorry for any inconveniences)

Thank you for stopping by #smw{:TUP:}
Oh hey. I actually check out this channel occasionly when I want to know if a hack is decent or not. Nice to see you here. 👋
Your channel is very much like lordkronos's one in which both do longplays of SMW hacks though yours have higher dpis (resolution) than the other person. While it is interesting to see people cover SMW hacking on their channels as their prime focus, id think for yours since you have an "edge" as opposed to the other guy and probably others out there in terms of video quality, id suggest starting to do commentary on the level design of the hacks, voice or subtitles (text in video) as you do have people like me who do watch SMW hack longplays for the purposes of analyzing level design of hacks played to judge whether a hack is fun to play personally as well as the more objective study of game design to see where it goes wrong/right at it's tropes and design decisions.
Modern Redrawn Mario Bros. 1.5 (last update - February 14, 2023, some new bonus frames, tons of minor touchups to various poses)

On Pixel Art Requests: Depends on what it is and if I have the time for it. If its complex and I don't have the time, don't expect me to accept it.

Projects I support:

Oh so you're the one that played my old hacks which I'm ashamed of. Bad. >:(

Even though I don't watch your videos regularly I still enjoy to watch them to sometimes check if a hack is worth of playing or not. I was also surprised when finding out you've played some of my older works, even the CLDC entry for 2013!

I'd be very interested on video interviews with hack authors and on you capturing the progress of your own hack, since you've already played many of the hacks around.
Woah, I love your channel, dude! I was happy to see you play my own hack and I love how much work you put into all the other ones you've played. Keep it up #wario{<3}
Usually threads for your personal channels would go in Creation Corner, but we'll let yours stay here because it really is 100% SMW hacking and focuses on the hacks more than anything else due to being playthroughs and not whacky Let's Plays, and because you're kinda well known already anyway.

Still surprised at how consistently you upload, you've probably played more hacks than half this site combined lmao
Your layout has been removed.

If that's the case I don't have a problem to delete the appropriate videos. It was the case with two videos in the past and I respect these requests.
You're doing amazing job at playing various hacks #smw{:TUP:}
Only thing I didn't liked is that you suddenly started playing flash games. Most of them are weird, but you're more hack player, so that's ok.

How you're planning on doing so? Discord? Anything else where you can speak with people?

Hey, I'd like to see whatever you'll make! While it'll be your first time making hack (?), it sounds pretty fun, because you played a lot of diffrent hacks where you can gain inspiration from and you're expirienced player, so you probably won't have problems testing it yourself and finding flaws.

Nah I wasn't serious with that statement lol

Even if they're far from being my best works it's nice that someone took their time to play them!
Your channel is phenomenal! Even though I can't watch all your videos, I enjoy most of them thoroughly!
How did you get this popular? Tell me your secret!
Let's hope we'll see if you record my SMW hack playthrough.
I have a Discord server as well! (by joining, you agree to the rules)

Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together.

I didn't expect my (bad) MLDC level to also show up in your channel 👀
Great job playing through literally almost every single hack and contest level hosted here. I'm sure your effort is and will always be appreciated by many!
Windowless ride, feeling alive
Are you alive or just breathing?
I'm sometimes watching your videos when I want to watch a SMW hack. You did a good job #smrpg{y}
I've seen your channel's videos pop up every now and then on YouTube searches (along with Big Brawler), and it's cool to see that there's at least two people out there who do longplays for something as obscure as SMW hacks. Sometimes, it feels like you can find anything on the internet #ab{:)}

I'd be curious to know: What are your favorite SMW hacks? You must have played a good chunk of the available hack library by now, and I'm sure some hacks have stood out among the rest.
I've watched several of your playthroughs including the one for my own hack, Hack 4. They're quite well done. While they don't have commentary, I find them a good option if I don't have time to play a hack and want to see what it's all about. Good work.

I'd be down.
Oh, I forgot to ask one thing: What happened to the video of the last DynastyLobster's hack (I forgot the name)? Did you take it down on a demand of the author of the hack?

Let's just say I'm a man who is keeping his word : )
I had seen your channel for a long time ... congratulations, it has won one more subscriber! :)
Is there anyway you would consider redoing the video of my super Mario arcade? In your video the last world is never shown because of a glitch when entering a door while sliding on ice and still being in another screen, I have fixed that glitch.
How many hacks does this guy have.
He just plays 'em.
