Mega Man 11

All I can is... better be worth the wait.

Especially since It's gonna be 8 FUCKING YEARS SINCE MEGA MAN 10 BY THE TIME IT GETS RELEASED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BANANA SLAMMA.
Much preferred the "power-up NES" look they had made concept art for. It look retro yet new.

It does look like from what they shown with the commentary that they have or at least it looks like they are putting some heart and effort into this.
They better be, after all those years. There's no point in raising Mega Man from his grave if all they did with him was yet another uninspired sequel. Give this a similar treatment to what Sonic Mania got and everything will be fine.

Also bring back Mega Man Battle Network, please! 😳
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
I could not believe it when I saw it, I am really happy about it.
I must also mention that I am glad they did not make another downgraded sequel.
The 8-bit graphics and music were great, but the lack of charge shot and slide and most features that were in the classic series even in 8-bit games was a little to much of pandering to fans of the second game who think that game is the most perfect game in the series.

The fact they are bringing back the mechanics that were missing in 9 and 10, and also not trying to just pander to nostalgia is also great.

That said, I hope they can break away from the formula a little bit, it seems they are doing it, but I still hope for more.
Take a little bit of the good aspects of every game in the series, add some new ones too.

I generally try to not get too high expectations or anything, but I am literally as excited for this game as I am for Bloodstained.
(In a way, they somewhat give me similar feelings, being nostalgic 2.5D games, and a more modern take on the games I like from series that were seemingly dead and that I had no hope of seeing again... the only difference is that one came in the form of a completely new series, and the other is a series revival).
Dawn upon me, morning sun... I anxiously tarry for thee, come to vanquish this horrible era of my life.

Things I am excited for:
Apparently there is nothing announced anywhere that really interests me.

Things I probably should do:
Update my profile to coincide with the new changes.

sorry, but that won't happen at all, because the MMBN series actually fully ended in BN6, and if they DO bring a BN7, it's honestly not gonna be a very good sequel at all

me tho, what I want Capcom to do a sequel the most after Megaman 11 is ZX 3; like seriously, that game is BEGGING for a sequel way more than it should be, same with the Legends series too, but there was a sequel which got cancelled, so you know

I didn't say anything about a sequel. #tb{;)}
I don't care whether it's a sequel, a prequel, an in-between-quel, a remake or an entirely new series - I just want similar gameplay and feel. A new Star Force would be just as fine for me (but that series has also properly concluded). At this point, a remake or a new series would work best.

fair enough lol; I think I would be down for either a new series based around MMBN and MMSF or a spinoff like Battle Chip Challenge or MMBN4.5 too (or you know, a proper localization of 4.5 on the Virtual Console would also be pretty neat #wario{;)}), but again, it all depends on Capcom and if they're gonna indeed do that

Yep, it's rather unlikely, but would be cool indeed. Something that would also work incredibly well for the series would be some kind of MMO where you could create your own personal Navi and battle viruses or other players in real-time online. You know, kinda the setting the series has always tried to portray in the first place.

After watching/looking at more stuff about Mega Man 11 I'll say the graphics have grown on me more.
Guess I'm just a stickler for more retro looking games.

That been said if I wanted to get into Mega Man 11 should I start with any other classic Mega Man in particular?
I'd say it doesn't really matter, they don't really have anything in terms of story connections, so what order you play them in doesn't matter. If you just want to get into the gameplay in general, though, a good idea might be to just play the fan favorites first (that seems to be 2, 3 and 9, I think). My personal favorite so far would be Mega Man & Bass, though.

x1 is best

I think this entirely because I grew up with that game, though.
X1 is great, though it's not usually considered a "classic" Mega Man - those really just refer to the games featuring the original Mega Man as the protagonist.

MM2 and MM4 are pretty good gateway drugs for classic MM, I feel.

2 stood the test of time for the most part (Boobeam Trap, Heat Man lava pool and Quick Man lasers nonwithstanding) while 4 introduces the buster charge (and retains 3's slide) that later games would use.

For X (since Kaijyuu brought it up), do start with X1 or X4 lol
Just keep in mind that X6 and X7 are of extremely questionable quality (and that the storyline was meant to end at X5 then go straight to Zero 1 so don't be alarmed if shit starts to not make sense whatsoever)

Same but @1UP, stay the fuck away from MM&B until you're familiar with classic MM's gameplay

The game's difficulty is Lost Levels/Dracula X tier
it's mostly a good game unlike DracX tho LOL

And play the SuFami version (with a translation patch if you want to read the CDs and dialogue), the GBA version has screen crunch issues and it just makes a tough game even tougher

Honestly, I think MM4, 5 and 6 would be better choices to start compared to MM1, 2 and 3 (due to the fact the latter have some pretty bullshit parts that just takes away the experience IMO, plus they aren't as advanced as the former games), but like the little kid that I was, I just played every single main MM game on the NES and then MM7 and MM&B with save states, and I actually managed to get most of my MM skills with this tactic. Of course tho, if you don't like save states, there's always alternatives lmao

oh yeah, can't forget the Gameboy games too lol

I guess we could also simplify it as "start with any NES game but Mega Man 1". #w{xD}
Mega Man 1 was definitely the toughest and the most unpolished.

Eh...looks a bit...lifeless.

OMG LATE 2018 WHY????
I CAN´T WAIT!!!!
THE ADVERS ARE SO MEAN!!!!!!
And have a Very Merry Christmas!
>My Layouts<

Would you rather it be released only in March or so and be rushed to hell and back, full of glitches and unpolished gameplay and whatnot?

People don't really know how to wait nowadays.
I'm not surprised.

I don't know why, but that seems to be a thing, a lot of younger people tend to be a lot more impatient than they should be.

At least regarding this type of stuff.

Never mind that most things take a lot of time to create.
