What would you have improved in Super Mario World if you had created it?

I have no clue if this thread is good for this, but I'd like to see what people think of this.

Super Mario World is an early SNES game, therefore there are a lot of bugs which Nintendo haven't even noticed. If I had been the author of Super Mario World, I'd have fixed all the bugs, added SMB3 screen-scrolling pipes, ON/OFF blocks, donut lifts, stationary Hammer Bros., Boomerang Bros., a few more level themes (desert, abstract, airship), autosaving, ice flowers, use rarely/unused stuff, like maybe glitched Piranha Plant's stem or flying red coins, changed Luigi's physics and graphics (so Luigi won't look like recolored Mario and jumps higher), improved the level design and aesthetics, and changed the theme of one world and added one more world. Instead of Donut Plains, I'd have created a snow world and as an extra world I'd have created a desert world. I'd also have improved Pokey's speed and the screen scrolling where vertical scroll is needed.

What about your thoughts? What should've been changed in the original game, what should've been added and what would you have improved?

Utilise some rarely used/unused objects much more often, especially the ones that aren't broken. Don't see why they wouldn't use the flying red coins or the big platform. And if they fixed purple coins to not look like pink used blocks in combination with a P Switch, i'd not have problems with that either.
The blue coins have something to do with coin animation. By the way, nice idea with a big platform and flying red coins, each equal to 5 coins.

A better way to save your game. The popup is nice to remind people after beating difficult levels, but some way to save without having to go beat Donut Ghost House again would be nice
-Auto-save, like in Yoshi's Island, SML2, or DKCR
-Official mod support and Steam release
-Make Funky the hardest special world level
-Cape flight completely disabled in the Special World (you can still glide)
-Blue shells a lot rarer
-Get rid of red, blue, and yellow Yoshis, since they seem kinda redundant
-Replace Twin Bridges/Cookie Mountain with an ice-themed world
-OW pause screen like the one in SMA2
-Make Morton and Roy unable to be hit multiple times consecutively upon dropping from the ceiling. Maybe they put on a spiky helmet or something and you have to jump on them before they put it on and it falls off while they're on the ceiling
-Dragon coins would have an actual purpose besides simply another way to earn a 1-up, like maybe access to the Special World.
-Move the green switch palace to Chocolate Island, and remove all cape feathers before that point.
-Achievements (for the Steam version)

A site with a non-useless dislike button
SMW hacking channel

- Removing screen exits and making better pipes
- Adding a message box to tell the player that there is a moon in every world
- Make something like the "Goodbye Football RNG" patch
- Reducing the number of yellow switch blocks in YI3

how dare you even think of touching super mario world
make the tilesets mix better and more consistent
delay the game for more dev time
What I would have improved in Super Mario World if I had created it is to have:

-Better pipe graphics
-Better tilesets
-Better Mario/Luigi graphics (imo)
-(A better pause break) Pause for a few minutes, then save what you have
-Better Yoshi physics, (such as jumping, and running)
-Custom music
-And adding Toad houses in the overworld, featuring items, and mini-games.

Stuff I "improved" reminds me of the New Super Mario World Wii game.

I would have added more powerups. It gets kind of boring with just the Fire Flower and the Cape. Super Mario Bros. 3 had more than twice as many powerups. That's why I'm currently learning a bit of ASM in the hopes of creating a Rock Mushroom powerup for a hack I'm planning to make.
I think the original soundtrack is alright and I don't think some songs should've been changed. I think there should be more themes than that.
Only fire flower and cape isn't enough, indeed. I think they should've added an ice flower and a frog item.
Toad houses are a really good idea! Too bad the original game has only Top Secret Area.
Super Mario World should have more Yoshi's features like flying or following Mario and jumping over obstacles when running alone.

If I could change anything about SMW I would have added more glitches

I heard that Nintendo tried to improve SMW as well, they called it SMW2, also known as Yoshi's Island. Weirdly, they have been improving these "hacks" over and over again, but each new edition has some weird glitches anyway.
-Simultaneous multiplayer
-Fix the mushroom priority bug in the item box(seriously that bug is annoying me when I play hacks)
-More music and level and World themes variety
-More powerups, cape and flower is too boring(smb3 have a lot o cool powerups, why not SMW?)
-Option to save after each level complete, it's bullshit when you need to quit the game to do some other important activity and you can't save your progress because the game don't let you save

I would have made better levels. "Vanilla" is a good descriptor, good but not terribly interesting.
