Welcome to the General Discussion forum! Although this is a forum where you're free to discuss anything non-SMW related, please keep these rules in mind when making threads or replying to a thread in this forum:
Failure to abide by these rules will get your thread moved, closed, trashed, or possibly be followed up with a ban. Thank you.
- Make sure your threads/posts can spark a decent discussion
This rule is the most important. The purpose of the General Discussion forum is to allow users to have a laugh, express their opinions, or just casually discuss a topic. When writing a thread, consider whether or not it will start a valuable conversation. Keep in mind that there's a difference between a trash post that serves no purpose and a "silly" post. - Do not create personal threads
If you want to tell users about yourself, write that information in your profile biography, or introduce yourself in the Introductions thread. If you want to let everyone know about a cool event that you experienced recently, post about it in the Bar & Grill. - No "goodbye" threads
If you declare that you're done with ROM hacking and/or the site itself, we're sorry to see you leave, but we do not want people making new threads just to post their goodbyes. If you really need to create a farewell message, put it in your bio or leave a post in the Bar & Grill. - Do not create rant threads
We do not want to see any threads that were made simply for complaining about how bad your day was or something that made you angry. No one wants to read these types of threads, and they rarely spark any kind of positive discussion. - Do not meaninglessly bump really old threads If you're going to make a new reply in a thread that's many months to many years old, you must have something important to add. If your reply to such a thread has little value in terms of discussion, or the topic is not relevant anymore, you're just throwing a useless thread onto the first page of the forum.
Failure to abide by these rules will get your thread moved, closed, trashed, or possibly be followed up with a ban. Thank you.
