hey when I try to insert a custom sprite it crashes.. not sure why? I'm probably doing something dumb..
You have to use the SA-1 compatible sprite tool. It's in the SA-1 thread but Erik put them somewhere in this forum together (you have to ask for a password, though).

This is even recommend for UberASM as the one in the patches section apperantelly was incompatible with the base ROM.
I'm going to port every sprite to use Jack's SpriteTool when I have time.

speaking of yoshi coins, should we have something that makes them worth collecting, other than for 1-ups?
don't go the nsmb route and make it unlock some stupid unfulfilling levels, that's all i can say
I vote we go the nsmb route and use them to unlock bonus levels.
and by that I mean just a set number per level and not some dumb "all coins in a world" bs
Just make my levels the unlockable ones. That way no one will have to play them LOL
